Unfortunately we were late for the tour, but miraculously were able to meet up with the group about halfway through. Our guide was amazing with the kids. She made the experience so enjoyable and relevant for them. I was traveling solo with a 7-year-old and the length of this tour was also perfect. It was so very hot and I don’t know that a longer tour would have been very enjoyable.
Marina was a great tour guide with enough enthusiasm to keep the kids captive for the whole 2 hours despite the August heat. She also had great knowledge to answer our more « adult questions ». It was our second time visiting Pompeii, but the first time with the kids and we enjoyed the tour and all learned something new.
I can’t say enough about Claria! She took my jet-lagged hangry children and made them archeologists! Do NOT hesitate to book her. Pompeii would not have been the experience it was without her on our hot day! Truly magical and impactful. They are quoting her facts to all the relatives!
We did the 2 hour kid friendly tour and it was so fun and very informative. We were able to see everything we wanted to see and got to see things we wouldn't have thought to look for
Excellent tour, well tailored to the children. Our guide Sonia was excellent at keeping the children engaged and interested (as well as being informative to the adults), and was attentive to how they would manage in the heat, seeking out shady areas, with a stop for water
Our guided tour was small and personalized. She did a great job sharing the history and guiding us through so many of the highlights of Pompei. Highly recommend!
Small group, just two families of 4, our tour guide Claira was great, very charismatic and great with our kids. The information was top class for both adults and the kids. She was very conscious of the heat and found shade where possible. I would love to return when our kids are older to discover more. 2 hours was just about right for our 8year old.
Cle was amazing- she made sure she made the tour enjoyable and engaging and also really made sure the children were always taken care of and always tried to make sure the kids were in the shade. They loved it and so did we.
Roberta our guide was fantastic! She packed the visit with insightful memorable facts and guided without ever overwhelming us. The pacing was perfect for the heat — steady, comfortable, and efficient — and we covered a huge amount of the grounds while still having energy left to explore afterward. The best part was how brilliantly she connected with our 13‑year‑old. Roberta focused on his interests, spoke directly to him, and kept him engaged from start to finish. She turned the tour into an experience he’ll remember. Highly recommend
Pompeii with children was magical, especially for having found a special guide capable of bringing to life the atmosphere of a city and a time that no longer exists… showing us how much modern civilization could learn from the ancient Romans
