Four days before the date of the tour, we were contacted and told that the tour would be going to Pompeii and Sorrento, not just Pompeii, and it would be a 12-hour day instead of a 9-hour day. We could go to Sorrento with the group and it would cost 20 euros more per person, or we could stay in Pompeii while the rest of the group went to Sorrento, and then they would come back for us. Our preference was for the shorter day with the focus on Pompeii, but I wasn't sure we could find another Pompeii-only tour at that point, so we accepted the change. The tour guide in Pompeii was excellent, but we did not have time to go to the Antiquarium. Sorrento was okay. We were brough to a restaurant where they gave us a free drink and then we paid for our lunch. Then we had about 30 minutes to shop in the market nearby. The bus driver was good and the tour leader was good.
Thank you for your feedback, and we’re glad to hear you found the Pompeii guide and tour staff excellent and professional throughout the day. We understand the changes to the itinerary and extended duration affected your original expectations and timing, and your comments have been noted and shared with the team for review and improvement.
Very nice experience. The ride was on time and the organizer was very enthusiastic and dynamic!
