Enrica was really good very detailed kept an eye on us it was wonderful feeling like a mom watching over us give us great information and recommendations loved it!
Overall, we enjoyed the Pompeii, Amalfi Coast, and Positano day trip. Our tour guide, Kler, and driver, Luca, did a great job getting us to each location and making sure we stayed together and organized. Kler made a point of giving us information about Rome and things to do during our stay. She was upbeat and spoke clearly so that everyone could understand—great guide! Even though it was excruciatingly hot in August, the Pompeii portion of the trip was awesome. Our tour guide, Bernadette, did a fantastic job taking us around the grounds of Pompeii and sharing information in a way that kept our interest while allowing us to see the most important sites within the allotted time. She gets an A+ from us! We then stopped at DiCapri for a limoncello tasting. It was a quick, touristy stop that seemed focused on encouraging visitors to purchase items from the gift shop. After that, we continued on to Positano for our scheduled free time. This is where I felt the tour fell short. We were dropped off in the lower section of the Positano shopping area and given only 1.5 hours of free time, which, in my opinion, was not enough. We were so rushed trying to see the views and take photos from both above and below the shops that we didn't have enough time to shop or even enjoy a drink by the sea. Not to mention, it was close to 100 degrees, making it very difficult to move quickly up and down those hills. Time could have been made up by shortening what I felt was an unnecessarily long stop in Cassino at the beginning of the tour. At the very least, the group should have been told that there was no need to purchase a large amount of food at that stop, because once we were back on the bus, Kler was taking orders for pizza for our stop in Pompeii. My husband and I had no interest in ordering pizza after having just purchased food in Cassino. I would also skip the limoncello tasting stop. Eliminating that stop could provide more time in Positano, and if anyone wanted to purchase limoncello, there were plenty of opportunities to do so in Positano. All in all, it was a great trip, and we really enjoyed seeing these areas outside of Rome during our stay. However, be prepared to spend a lot of extra time getting on and off the bus and, unfortunately, to have less time to enjoy Positano. A few tips: Wear good walking shoes, bring a hat for sun coverage, plenty of water, portable fans if you have them.
What an unforgettable day! Our pickup was punctual to the minute, which set the tone for a perfectly organised tour from start to finish. Pompeii was the highlight — our tour guide was outstanding, bringing the ancient city to life with fascinating stories and historical detail. Walking through the ruins with such an expert made the experience truly special. From there, the drive along the Amalfi Coast was simply breathtaking — every turn revealed postcard-worthy views of the cliffs and sparkling sea. Positano itself is pure magic: colourful houses cascading down the hillside, charming streets, and a vibe you have to experience to believe. Yes, the weather was hot — but honestly, nothing could take away from how fabulous this day was. The organisation, the guide, the scenery — everything exceeded our expectations. If you’re debating whether to book this tour, don’t hesitate. It was one of the best days of our entire Italian holiday. Highly recommended!
Our Pompeii, Amalfi Coast and Positano day trip from Rome with City Wonders was absolutely fantastic, and a huge part of what made the experience so special was our wonderful guide, Pari, and our coach driver, Antonio. Pari was an exceptional guide — incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, patient and passionate about the places we visited. She brought the history of Pompeii to life and gave us so much interesting information about the Amalfi Coast and Positano. She was also genuinely caring and attentive to everyone in the group, making sure we were comfortable and enjoying ourselves throughout the day. Her enthusiasm and warmth really made a difference. A special thank you also goes to Antonio, our coach driver, who did an amazing job navigating the roads, particularly along the spectacular but challenging Amalfi Coast. We always felt completely safe and in very capable hands. His driving was calm, professional and reassuring, and we really appreciated everything he did to make such a long day comfortable and enjoyable. The scenery was breathtaking, Pompeii was fascinating, and Positano was simply beautiful. It was a long day, but Pari and Antonio made it feel effortless and memorable. We would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Rome who wants to experience Pompeii, the Amalfi Coast and Positano in one unforgettable day. Thank you, Pari and Antonio, for making our day so special! You are both a real credit to City Wonders. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Van is great but 3 people had to sit backwards. Enough time to explore Positano and Pompeii. Really hot that day.
This was genuinely one of the best days of our trip to Rome. The whole day was organised really well, from leaving Rome in the morning, visiting beautiful Positano and then going on to explore Pompeii. Considering how much travelling is involved, the coach was really comfortable and the journey actually became an enjoyable part of the day. Our tour guide Natascia was honestly out of this world. She was so friendly, knowledgeable and made the whole experience feel relaxed from beginning to end. She has such a calm and relaxing voice too, it was genuinely nice just sitting back on the coach and listening to her talk about the places we were visiting and the areas we were travelling through. Positano was absolutely beautiful and then getting to experience Pompeii afterwards made the day even more special. It felt like we managed to see and experience so much in one day without it feeling stressful. The whole day was amazing and we couldn’t recommend City Wonders and Natascia enough. If you’re visiting Rome and want to experience the Amalfi Coast and Pompeii, definitely book this trip. A massive thank you to Natascia for making an already incredible day even better
We had a fantastic day with Antonio and our driver, Anthony. As a couple we have throughly enjoyed our time so far in the beautiful city of Rome but I would have to say our day with Antonio and Anthony has been the best day so far. Antonio was very passionate and proud of the history of Rome and it shows when he teaches us tourists. We have learned so much today and we will pass on our knowledge to our friends and family, thank you Antonio, truly. We were both very moved by Antonio’s speech at the end of the trip as well, it was inspirational and nice to hear in a such chaotic modern world. But just like Antonio said there is so much beauty in the world as well. Thanks again Antonio! - From Jamie & Laura (UK)
Great experience to see Pompeii. Amazing place to visit and have a guide talk about the history. Amalfi Coast was very nice to see. A lot of tourist in the summer time.
Eduardo our guide was very knowledgeable and helpful. He kept us entertained throughout the trip. We loved every bit of it.
Beautiful views. Good instructions. Wear good shoes for uneven footing in Pompei. Take water bottles and stay hydrated if the weather is warm
