The variety of temperatures for the hot pools in the open area was fantastic, and having the option between acidic and alkaline was GREAT! The 1-hour Manukau Honey massage was just what I needed after a month of travel! After the massage, we headed to a private hot pool for a relaxing close to our spa visit. Highly recommend for those needing rejuvenation to finish their holiday journey.

Brought my family of 8 (including overseas guests) to the Polynesian Spa on 21 August for the Deluxe Lake Spa experience. Even though I’ve been before, this visit was extra special. The lakeside pools were peaceful, clean, and incredibly relaxing. A lovely therapeutic and relaxing few hours after a busy morning on the luge in Rotorua. It was quite busy but there was still ample space in the pools. There were children it may be more relaxing without. Some background music would have been nice. Also many people were constantly using mobile phones and it was quite chatty at times which took away from the full experience of the spa unfortunately. We did enjoy it however but leave your phone behind and live in the moment and enjoy this natural beauty.

I recently had the opportunity to visit Polynesian Spa, and it exceeded my expectations. During my visit, I experienced the Deluxe Lake Spa, a couples massage, and a private bathing experience, and each part of the experience was exceptional. The Deluxe Lake Spa offered stunning views over Lake Rotorua and a relaxing atmosphere that made it easy to unwind. The facilities were well maintained, clean, and thoughtfully designed to create a peaceful retreat. Our couples massage was fantastic. The therapists were professional, attentive, and tailored the treatment to our preferences, leaving us feeling completely refreshed and relaxed. The private bathing experience was the perfect way to complete our visit. Having a secluded space to soak and enjoy the mineral waters in privacy made the experience feel truly special and luxurious. What really stood out, though, was the hospitality. The staff was welcoming throughout our visit, and the gentleman who looked after us was genuinely one of the sweetest hospitality professionals I've encountered. He was warm, friendly, attentive, and made us feel incredibly welcome from the moment we arrived. His kindness and enthusiasm elevated an already amazing experience. Polynesian Spa offers much more than just spa treatments, it's a complete wellness experience. MY DETAILS: Mihir Thakker Date of access: 24may2026 Time of card swipe at reception: 9.17 am Nz time Amt: $339.80 for 3 adult 1 kid for delux pools Very pathetic reception staff.. we visited yesterday with my family and upon card tap.. it was #figure it out mode.. no instructions nothing . We booked delux pools and they just told to follow signs.. "go right".. that's it. Me and my family were lost at family pools..I asked lifeguard where are delux pools she was shocked reception staff did not guide you ? We were roaming here and there for 15 mins and we somehow figured ourself out the lockers and change room seperate for delux pools area. After experience we were observing the same staff were personally showing each areas to other European and American customers.. Same story places different.. hard reality Racist staff do exist at polynesian thermal pools specially reception.
