Eating With Carmen Food Tours
Meeting point
We continue on our way to have some locally handmade quesadillas with a special surprise ingredient!
We’ll stop by a family-run market where they stock hard-to-find and seasonal fruits, vegetables and fresh-squeezed juices, where you’ll be able to learn all about these exotic foods from your expert guide.
We are on our way again to a locally-operated fruit and veggie market, which houses many exotic fruits that are typical to Mexican farming and cuisine. It is at this market, located in downtown Playa del Carmen, where we are going to try local fruit juices, which is also a typical refreshment the locals enjoy daily. Afterward, your guide will lead you towards one of the best Taquerias in town, at which point tacos are served!
We walk through this plaza to find some tacos al pastor at one of our favorite food stands.
At this stop we'll try some mole.
We'll finish the tour with some local popsicles and icecreams.

Delicious Food Tour with Abbey
Make sure you come hungry on this food tour! We had the pleasure of having Abbey as our tour guide and she didn’t disappoint! She made the tour not only knowledgeable about Playa del Carmen history but also entertaining! The food was phenomenal… we visited some of the places she took us over the next few to on our own!

Definitely a repeat!
A great experience! We booked early during the week and ended up being the only ones on the tour. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable in the history of the area, including thebackground of the food. As a US couple that has traveled to PDC 20+ times, it ranks in our top events!

Eat like the locals
Great authentic food experience. So much amazing food to eat. Enrique was informative and personable. Spoke English very well if that is a concern for anyone. I loved the quesadillas and the tamale but my husband’s favorite was the mole. Definitely recommend this tour if you’re looking to try some local spots off the beaten path

Can’t Recommend Enough!
Enrique was a great tour guide in Playa Del Carmen! I’m not someone who care a lot about the history of things like food, but his storytelling was so amazing! It made everything we ate come alive. Also, he took us to great food spots. The food was delicious! I 1,000% recommend making Eating With Carmen a part of your trip!

The walking food tour.
We been coming to Playa del carmen for over 20 years but only ate on the fifth Ave. So we found this tour it was excellent. I will go back to some of the street food options on my next visit.
