Start your full-day adventure early in the morning from Florence and head towards La Spezia, the gateway to the Cinque Terre.

Arrive in La Spezia, the gateway to the Cinque Terre, and get ready to explore one of Italy’s most spectacular coastal destinations.
From La Spezia train station, continue by local train into the Cinque Terre National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for its colorful fishing villages set along the rugged Ligurian coastline.
Before boarding the train, you will have some time to purchase a snack at a local shop or use the restroom facilities. From here, regional trains connect the Cinque Terre villages throughout the day and are the most practical way to travel along this unique stretch of coastline.
Please keep in mind that the Cinque Terre is one of the most visited destinations in Italy, so crowds should be expected, particularly during peak season. Regional trains can also be busy and occasional delays may occur. Traveling by local train is part of the Cinque Terre experience and the most efficient way to move between the villages.

Your first Cinque Terre stop is Vernazza, one of the most charming villages along the Ligurian coast.
Enjoy free time to explore its colorful streets, picturesque harbor and small beach. Take a walk, stop for a coffee or simply enjoy the atmosphere and beautiful coastal views.

Continue by local train to Manarola, famous for its colorful houses dramatically positioned above the sea.
Enjoy free time to explore the village and walk towards the panoramic viewpoint for one of the most iconic views of the Cinque Terre.
There will also be time to grab something to eat or drink at your own expense.

After visiting Manarola, take the local train back to La Spezia.
From here, the journey continues towards Tuscany and your final stop of the day: Pisa.
