Our guide was very nice but wasn’t nearly as engaging for the kids (9, 12) as we were hoping. The Percy Jackson part felt like a bit of an afterthought. It was really more of a standard tour of the Capitoline Museum.
This was our first tour with Europe4Kids.com, so we weren't sure what to expect. I gained confidence that this was a legitimate company because of the thorough customer service I received by email while making my tour selections from their extensive menu. I selected four different tours from them that fit into plans that I had already made for our Fall Break 5-day visit to Rome. These were historic places we wanted to see but knew very little about (therefore we were concerned our daughter might be bored and not get anything positive out of it). I have a teenage daughter, an only child who wasn't excited about touring history/art museums. The Percy Jackson aspect was a hook for her. We watched the movies together and she started reading the books. By the time we met our very personable guide, Nayla in front the Capitoline Museums for our private tour, our daughter was very intrigued by the historic authenticity of the mythically themed statues surrounding us, that these structures still existed here, and how the stories fit into the lived experiences of everyday people a millennia ago. Nayla drew on my daughter's background knowledge with questions she could answer and had her engaged in a great educational opportunity from start to finish. We enjoyed Nayla's knowledge and enthusiasm; she provided a great introduction to ancient Rome and the significance of the Capitoline Museums that we will long remember. Afterward, my daughter was excited for the additional "teen tours" that I booked. So were we! There are less expensive tours, but the premium experience we received was well worth what we paid.
If you have Percy Jackson lover or one who is obsessed with Greek and Roman mythology, this tour is for you! The capital hill museum is amazing and Valeria made it come to life. She is a wonderful guide. We had so much with her! This tour was a family favorite. I have 11 and 12 year old boys.
We loved the tour!!! Our tour guide, Valeria was amazing! She was very knowledgeable and had great conversations with my Percy Jackson obsessed 11 year old son! Highly recommend the tour!
Valeria was a phenomenal tour guide. This was our favorite tour in the two weeks we were in Europe. She did a great job connecting the various art pieces to Percy Jackson and other Rick Riordan books. It helped keep us engaged and to really appreciate the museum.
Donato was a fabulous tour guide who made the museum come alive for us and especially for our 14 year old daughter. The scavenger hunt was fun even for the adults. I highly recommend this tour and Donato. It’s worth every penny.
This is te second time we use Pinocchio Tours and they were more than amazing! My kids love Percy Jackson and this tour was very fun. We really enjoyed the Capitoline museum , so much to see. We loved the guide, 100% recommended!
Bruno was very engaging and great with the kids! Most visitors will go to the Colosseum, Vatican, and Borghese, but this tour covers much more interesting history in my opinion and much more enjoyable as there are no crowds and more leisure. Thank you!
We were given many interesting facts about various stories behind events that occurred during ancient times. Sara was very engaging
Dontano was our amazing tour guide on the Percy Jackson and Ancient Myths Tour at the Capitoline Museums. He did a great job of engaging our tween girls, entertaining, and most importantly educating us all on the amazing artifacts inside the museum. The tour was well paced and Donato was happy to answer all of our questions. This tour greatly exceeded our expectations and was thoroughly enjoyed by all.
