So much fun! The woman who taught us how to make the Pastel de Nata was wonderful; she was entertaining and knew how to make each step simple. The pastries were delicious! Everyone should participate in this workshop.
A wonderful experience to try if you’re visiting the city! Vanessa was very welcoming and kind. The wine was excellent, and the espresso paired with the pastéis de nata was perfect. I highly recommend this activity!
Meeting point easy to find. Our pastry chef was top-notch, a great welcome, good mood, and very good advice were the order of the day. Small group class allowing everyone to participate and test. Starting from making the dough is a big plus. Great group and final tasting that met my expectations. Don't hesitate if you want to make pasteis de nata from scratch!
A wonderful experience meeting new friends with hands on learning how to make delicious Pastel de Nada. At the end you are given the recipe to take home, as well as lots of suggestions for places to eat in Porto. Our host, Clara, was full of energy and made the class extra fun.
Clara was our instructor and she made the experience so enjoyable and fun . Our final product was so delicious . It was nice to learn about the tradition and culture with yummy outcome . You don’t need to be a professional chef to enjoy this class!
Vanessa was an outstanding teacher. The natas come out delicious. The group is small enough that the experience feels very personable. My favourite activity of my porto trip. Thank you!!
I did this class on my own, there were two other groups with me. People just stayed within there groups, not mixing with one another. In addition, the host did some bad comments about men, being the only man it felt awkward for me. I did participate when making the puff pastry but my turn got skipped when making the cream. I found myself isolated and felt unwelcome throughout the class. The recepe seems legit, and the pastries taste good. The simplified version of puff pastry work surprisingly well. It's cleary not as good as real homemade puff pastry, but it can save you a lot of time and it's much easier.
The Course is very informative and relaxed. Clara is an Amazing Teacher & made the whole thing Fun. She was also very generous with the Coffe and Wine. We got to eat the Pastel de Natas we had made & take some away with us. Thank You Clara
Vanessa engages her class. She is enthusiastic and well prepared. The preparing of the Nata recipe is a group effort . Vanessa is aware of involving each individual so all feel they have contributed.
