Absolutely terrible experience with Horizon Water Sport in Sharm El Sheikh. I do NOT recommend this company! My boyfriend and I booked a 7-minute parasailing ride and paid $65. The biggest problem was that we were in the air for only about 2–3 minutes instead of the 7 minutes we paid for. The same thing happened to the other tourists. I will attach videos and photos below where you can clearly see the timing of the rides. But unfortunately, that was not the only problem. Before getting on the boat, I seriously injured my toe because the wooden entrance to the boat was broken and in very poor condition. My nail was damaged, I had an open wound and it was bleeding. The staff provided almost no first aid — they simply put two drops of iodine on my toe and sent me onto the boat. I asked if I could keep my flip-flops on because I had an open wound, but they refused and made me walk barefoot like everyone else. They clearly saw my injury. People were constantly walking close to me and bumping into my hand, so I had to protect my injured toe myself to prevent dirt or infection from getting into the open wound. After the ride, I calmly asked for 50% of our money back because we had not received the service we paid for. I was not even asking for a full refund. Instead of properly resolving the issue, the staff argued with me and offered to take me up again. They completely ignored the fact that I had an open wound, was in significant pain and needed proper medical attention, which they had not provided. I wanted to return to the hotel to properly treat my injury and simply did not want to go parasailing again. In the end, one of the employees simply threw $15 in our direction and told us to take the money and leave. I have never experienced such disrespectful and unprofessional treatment from a company. Poor safety, a service that did not match what was advertised, no proper assistance after an injury, and extremely disrespectful customer service. We also waited exactly 30 minutes for our taxi from the hotel to there because the taxi driver was late. I will never use Horizon Water Sport again and strongly recommend that other tourists think twice before booking with this company.

One important point for context: this booking did not come to us directly. It was made through a third-party tour guide who purchased the activity on your behalf and set both the price and the package you received. Our published parasailing rate — on our own website and on every partner platform we work with — is $35 per double flight for example, and sometimes lower, well below the $65 you were charged, and our flight durations are stated at the time of booking. We have no control over what an intermediary charges or which package they select. On the injury: your toe was seen by the doctor on site. The nail was broken but not detached, with no exposed tissue and no open wound. Iodine was applied and the doctor specifically advised leaving it uncovered — covering or wrapping an intact nail bed traps moisture and raises infection risk, which is the opposite of what people assume. That was a medical decision, not neglect. The barefoot rule on deck exists for grip on a wet surface, and with no open wound there was no reason to make an exception. We're sorry the experience didn't match what you were told you were buying, and we hope it doesn't colour your memory of Sharm El Sheikh.
Wonderful experience in the sun. Assad was very welcoming and kind and the boat crew made it even more fun. I’m not sure we were all up there between eight to ten minutes as advertised but it wasn’t a massive deal.
Brilliant experience had lots of fun. The captain was so good calm and polite, really good with children. The staff were all really helpful and made adjustments to meet our family’s needs. 100% recommend for families with young children.
Highly recommend this excursion. We was a group of 15 and we were really well looked after. I was really scared but the staff on the boat made the experience really calm for me. I really enjoyed it.

It was a great experience, we had to wait for a while when we go there for a boat to be available. The experience was reaaly nice, the operators were very carefula nd explained all that we needed to know, being uo in the air was an exhilarating experience. Remember to carry your sunscreen cause the sun was sunning! It was nice would definitely recommend.
