You really haven't seen Florence until you’ve stood inside its power center and then watched the entire city glowing from the open-top bus.
Overall a 5/5. Easy access to Palazzo Vecchio and a lovely drive around Tuscany’s outskirts!
We came away feeling that we had seen a good mix of Florence. The palace was rich in history and detail, and the panoramic bus made exploring the wider city much easier.
We had limited time in Florence, so this was a practical option. The palace visit was interesting and the bus tour helped us see more without spending the whole day on foot.
Got amazing interior architecture shots inside the palace, followed by panoramic skyline shots of the Duomo from the bus route. My camera roll has never looked better!
Riding the bus loop first gives you a great lay of the land and helps you locate major landmarks, while stepping inside Palazzo Vecchio immediately drops you into the political history of Florence. It laid the perfect foundation for the rest of our trip!
Florence is very walkable, but the panoramic bus gives you a completely different perspective of the Tuscan hills and the Arno River. Step off, walk into Palazzo Vecchio, and immerse yourself in Medici history. Unbeatable value!
Booking these two experiences together saved us time and money. The bus audio was clear and informative, and Palazzo Vecchio was easily one of the most impressive buildings we visited in all of Italy. 10/10 would recommend!
Make sure to plan your day so you have enough time for both. The palace interior is a historic masterpiece and takes about 1.5 to 2 hours to fully appreciate. The bus tour is a great way to map out the rest of your trip and see where everything is located in Florence.
Doing a self-guided tour of Palazzo Vecchio means you can download an audio guide or just read the history as you go, which worked perfectly for us. The panoramic bus tour is an excellent bonus because it takes you outside the tight city center to see the surrounding hills and classic viewpoints.
