PAESTUM and POMPEI

We had a really awesome experience with Fulvio as our driver. In the morning, we visited the ancient Greek archeological site of Paestum and visited a mozzarella farm where we tasted some really nice mozzarella cheese. We then visited Pompeii in the afternoon and spent some wonderful time there. Fulvio is a great driver, the ride was fast and safe. He is also very knowledgeable, he explained a lot of interesting sites along the way. He always made sure we had enough water during the trip. We highly recommend this trip!

Fulvio, in charge of the transportation service was simply fantastic. Friendly, easy going and fully at our service. He showed perfectly on-time to pick us up at 8am at the Reinassance Hotel in Napoli. His van was impecable. He drove us to Paestum where we spent the morning, and he guided us to get our tickets and an audioguide which was perfect for us. Paestum is said to have the best preserved Greek temples in the world (even better than in Athens they say), worth a visit! Around noon, Fulvio took us to the Buffalo Mozzarella factory which we decided to cut in time just visiting the milk collecting place and a bit of the process, We decided to have lunch at Pompeii, which worked better for us and so we asked Fulvio for a suggestion on where to go. He recommended Varnelli, an extraordinary pizzeria in Pompeii Centre which we also highly recommend. We then had the visit to Pompeii in the afternoon and Fulvio waited for us with refreshments at Varnelli. At our return to Napoli, Fulvio realized it was our last day there and we had almost not had time to have a tour of Napoli city so he offered us a very quick tour, by car, of his city as a way to say good-bye. We realized Napoli had charming places,great food, and great gelato!, based on his recommendations for that last night. Fulvio is an excellent host, we highly recommend him and Lovely Tours.
