For our first trip to Oxford, Sophie knew how to adapt to our interests and allowed us to fully enjoy our visit by presenting her favorite itineraries and recommendations for organizing the day. The tour in French allowed the whole family to better follow the visit.
I booked a 2 hour tour with Sophie Duncan which focused on the English Civil War in Oxford. I was in Oxford with 18 undergraduates from the University of Washington, on a study abroad program on the 17th Century in England. We had a great time on the tour. Sophie was very knowledgable and engaging. In addition to the Civil War walking tour Sophie also showed our group around Christ Church on a separate tour. Both tours were a very good fit for our theme and for our students who were able to place their studies in deeper context thanks to Sophie's tour. I highly recommend Sophie and Oxford History Tours and would definitely engage Sophie again in the future!

Sophie was excellent. She was personable and informative, took us to notable Oxford sites, and spoke clearly and loudly enough for all 13 people in our group to hear.
We had the perfect day in Oxford with our tour guide Sophie! She was so knowledgeable about everything. Our interest was in the fantasy literary authors of Oxford and she was able to show us so much about that and so much more! Would 100% recommend!
I recommend Sophie 100%, we spent a day in Oxford. Sophie had managed to get us tickets to the bookshop in the morning and in the afternoon we were given a tour of the city of Oxford and Christ College with our two 14 year old daughters. My wish was to know the places where the Harry Potter film was filmed, this visit in French was a plus for us. Sophie knew how to adapt to our needs unforgettable day a big thank you
I have visited Oxford a few times before, but Sophie was able to show us interesting places and details that I would have never spotted on my own - and gained us access to buildings that were not open to the general public. She also has the knack of making history fun… filling the tour with entertaining tales and fascinating factoids.
We got so much out of this tour with Sophie. There are many fascinating nooks and crannies, gardens, buildings, dining halls and libraries in Oxford and we had a rich and wonderful tour that we could not have done without Sophie's guidance.
