Overall a day well spent

Overall a very well managed tour. Departure right on time and all stops were managed very well. Our guide Mr Oliver was funny and knowledgeable! Tour mention’s Cotswolds but it’s just a ride through and no stops!

Operator response

Thank you for your review. We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed the tour and found it well organised, with Oliver’s knowledge and humour adding to the experience. We do advertise the Cotswolds portion as a scenic drive through, but we apologise for any confusion this may have caused. We appreciate your feedback and hope to welcome you again soon.

Top day trip

Excellent day trip from London. Enjoyed beautiful Warwick Castle and beautiful Stratford. In the late afternoon we took a nice walk in the centre of Oxford past several beautiful buildings of the university. We had a very friendly and helpful guide (Ashley) and good driver (Oscar) Highly recommended for those going to London!

A fun day trip to Warwick, Oxford and Stratford-upon-Avon

My adult son and I took this day trip during our week in London. It was well organized. Golden tours sent me texts and updates prior to the trip, and they have their own bus stop (address was in Google Maps) near Victoria station, which helped us find the start point. We rode in a full size air conditioned tour bus with usb ports for phone charging. Our guide Oliver was knowledgeable and friendly. The tour description is very accurate. This drives through the Cotswolds but only stops at Oxford, Stratford and Warwick Castle. I recommend that you buy the entry to Warwick castle option (at least). That is worth the admission. The castle is well maintained and there is a lot to see. It was our favorite stop. I would do this again. We also took the tour of Shakespeare’s birthplace. It was interesting to see how they lived and get a glimpse of his father’s glove making shop. If you skip that tour there is plenty to see in the town (depending upon your preferences).

Operator response

Thank you for such a detailed and wonderful review. We are delighted to hear that you and your son had a fun and well organised day exploring Oxford, Stratford upon Avon, the Cotswolds and Warwick Castle. It is great to know that you found our updates helpful before the tour and that you enjoyed travelling on our comfortable, air conditioned coach. We are especially pleased to hear that Oliver was knowledgeable and friendly and helped make your day enjoyable. We are glad that Warwick Castle was your favourite stop and that you also enjoyed visiting Shakespeare's birthplace. Thank you for highlighting that the tour description accurately reflects the itinerary, as well as for your recommendation. We would be delighted to welcome you back on another Golden Tours experience in the future.

Finally a "real" castle!

This was a great way to see 3 big items on our list! Warwick Castle was the favorite stop for us, especially my daughter. We had already been to Buckingham and Windsor, but this castle was our favorite. Her exact words were,'"finally! A castle that looks like a REAL castle!" Our guide was full of so much interesting information and she was hilarious!

Great tour Guide! Funny! Considerate, clear and confident. Helpful. Blunt with guests who would not comply with times as they would have caused delays. Great overall for families
