A great tour! I did this tour yesterday with Kate as our guide. She was friendly, incredibly knowledgeable and shared lots of interesting faces about the city and university. She pointed out many things that I would have just walked past! It was great to experience life inside one of the colleges too and see the contrast between the hustle and bustle outside, and the calmness inside the walls. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back soon!
JASON was a delightful, engaging, intelligent tour guide! I learned so much and he brought history to life! this tour is excellent if you don’t have a lot of time. I only had the afternoon and it was perfect. 2 hours.
Jason Thomas was our tour guide and did a spectacular job. He was a wealth of knowledge, not only of Oxford but of all England. We were very impressed
Thanks for the review of your walking tour. We are pleased you enjoyed the tour and appreciate the nice comments about your guide Jason.
Our guide Richard was extremely well informed about both the history of Oxford and the way this fitted into the complexity of English history over hundreds of years. He had wonderful amusing anecdotes and explained the college system to us very well. He took us to all the places we had wanted to see and allowed time for photographs. He kindly left us at St John’s college a beautiful peaceful place to sit for a while. Make sure you have some cash, we would love to have tipped him but only had electronic options and no UK pounds!
Thanks for taking the time to leave a review of your walking tour. We are pleased you enjoyed the tour and appreciate your kind words about the content of the tour and your guide Richard.
We had to cancel at the last minute due to my husband’s illness. This company was very understanding and compassionate. They were wonderful and we only wish we could have taken the tour!
Thanks for taking the time to write this review. We hope your husband is feeling better now and you have an opportunity to attend one of our tours in the future.
We called the operator before booking because our main goal was to visit a college. He assured us that the jesus college was in the tour. So we booked. The guide started normal but halfway when we passed the jesus college he said it wasn't open and skipped this part. He didn't listen to us at all when we asked why. He just walked on. We were not amused! At the end of the tour we walked to the jesus college ourselves. They were open! And showed us that many other groups had entered of the same organisation!!! We told what happened to us with our guide and they gave us the oppurtunity to walk in by ourselves. Thanks to the generousity of the people at the college. NOT by our guide Harvey..
Dear Jessica, thanks for taking the time to share your experience. We are very sorry to read you did not get the visit to Jesus College as promised, I can confirm the booking was made so I need to find out why the guide did not take you inside. I am pleased the college did let you in later but very sorry it was not part of the tour as planned. If you are still in Oxford please let me know and we can see if we can arrange something else for you. Feel free to email me on officialtours@experienceoxfordshire.org

We were staying in the Cotswolds so fancied a walking tour of Oxford with my wife and daughter. Picked this as it was well reviewed, ut was a very good choice. Jason was a really good tour guide, he gave us so much info and history about Oxford that we would never have found out about on our own. It was really interesting and involved all the group. 2 hours flew by and I will definitely recommend it to others that come to Oxford.

I'm writing this on behalf of my parents - they had an amazing time today with Jason Thomas who provided an engaging, informative and highly enjoyable tour of Oxford. Jason gave an in depth discussion on the history of Oxford, particularly the university colleges and his delightful manner was the highlight of the tour! Highly recommend Oxford Official Tours and if you get Jason as your guide, you are in for a treat!

Our guide provided a good insight into the university and the colleges in a very detailed and never boring way. The size of the group with only 10 people was very pleasant.
