We’ll pick you up right from your hotel in Cairo for an exciting day exploring the famous sites of El Fayoum! It’s about a 95 km drive from Cairo to Fayoum. Get ready for a full-day safari in our comfortable 4WD as tour around wadi Rayan, which has been a Protected Area since 1989. Our adventure begins in the beautiful Wadi El Rayan, recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site thanks to the amazing 40-million-year-old whale skeletons found there. On the way to the stunning Wadi El Rayan Waterfalls, we’ll stop at the Magic Lake, where you’ll have the chance to try sandboarding down the dunes, and then we’ll visit Mudawara Mountain. After that, we’ll head to the breathtaking Wadi El Rayan Waterfalls. Wadi El Rayan is a natural depression in the western desert, featuring two lakes joined by Egypt’s only waterfalls, created in 1970 from overflow water from Fayoum’s farmlands. To top off the day, you will have the option of getting delicious BBQ lunch in the charming village of Tunis.

Qaroun Lake lies at the north of Fayoum Governorate. It is about 20 km north of Fayoum city, 80 south west of Cairo. is one of Egypt’s richest and most treasured natural landmarks. Lake Qarun received its protectorate status, not only because of its obvious beauty and importance for birds and people, but also for its unparalleled historical, natural and scientific importance.
The Wadi El Rayan reserve consists of seven parts; the upper and lower Lakes , El Rayan springs, El Rayan Falls, El Modawara Mountain (or Jabal El Modawara in Arabic), El Rayan Mountain (Jabal El Rayan) and Wadi El Hitan (The Valley of the Whales). All these areas are full of amazing landscapes such as oases, mountains, rock formations and waterfalls.
The small village of Tunis (‘izbat Tunis) is located in the oasis of Fayoum , on the way to Wadi Rayan. Located on a hill facing a large salt water lake, the village overlooks a stunning view of the edge of the desert on the other side of the lake. It is one of the most beautiful places in Egypt. we will have chance to visit and have our BBQ lunch over there

Great trip and worth the money! Megoo was a great guide. He told us about everything up front, so there were no surprises and the trip was great. Our driver was also great and knew exactly what he was doing at all times. We highly recommend taking this trip when visiting Cairo
Very poor experience as the tour guide that we had and we picked up in Cairo, had NO IDEA what we were doing and where we were going. Also it was the first time he had been a guide in this area and he specialized in antiquity, which is not the case there either. Our driver was phenomenal, but our tour guide had no idea where we were going and his english was VERY poor. Lastly the restaurant that they suggest is literally ripping you off. The mentioned price is 15$ (for a meal that in Cairo costs 5) , and somehow we ended up paying 30$ each. 60$ for 2 people in Egypt is the steal of the centrury for a plate of food. You should protect your customers as a company arranging these things not taking us to get robbed in broad daylight. Very poor experice in a very nice place.

Excellent guide, good itinerary, I recommend it, we went with the family, super safe, economical, and a good tour guide guided us super well.
The tour covered all the key sites to see at the pyramids, saqquara and Memphis. We also had a nice lunch and visited an papyrus factory with (overpriced) souvenirs. All in all a good tour, however our tour guide wasn't very talkative. He gave a few highlights at each location and otherwise quiet unless probed for more information. That said, he was very gracious in taking several great photos of my mom and I. He took them with his phone camera of better quality and sent me the files. I really appreciated this.

BEST GUIDE! Mohamed showed us amazing places, we had experience in the desert, we met Alexandria...we led in wonderful restaurants, always very careful with the group.
