Itinerary
Doune Castle entrance included in tour price. In Outlander, it’s the fictional Castle Leoch. And in reality, it’s a stunning castle with a tall gatehouse, an impressive great hall, and lovely views of the River Teith.
You stop at the small town of Falkland to relive the first scenes of the show, where Falkland represents 1940’s Inverness. See if you can recognise the familiar sights such as Mrs Baird’s Guesthouses and the Bruce Fountain.
Jamie’s family home, Lallybroch, is as lovely as it looks in the show.
Blackness Castle included in tour price The tough-looking castle looks like it could fend off an entire empire. And in Outlander, it impersonates Fort William.
This 16th-century village poses as Cranesmuir in Outlander. It also starred in the movies: Captain America: First Avenger and The 39 Steps.

Excellent outlander tour. My wife really enjoyed it. Peter was great as a guide. A little hard for an American to understand! However I am in Scotland, so my problem!
A definite must-do for Outlander fans. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable, friendly, funny, and helpful.
Can’t recommend the outlander tour enough, especially with your guide Martin. His knowledge of the area and history greatly added to the experience and made the day such a memorable one.
What an adventure to hear all about the places that Outlander is filmed at. Doune and Blackness castles were wonderful to see. Our guide, Nick, was so great explaining different places that scenes were done and great looking in his kilt.
This was a great tour for any Outlander fan. Our guide, Young Steven, was awesome and informative. Seeing the filming locations was really fun. Unfortunately, Midhope Castle (Lallybroch) is a very missed opportunity. The owners could make it really amazing, but choose not to. It's still cool to see.
Young Steven took great care of us as we traveled the beautiful country side taking us to all the local Outlander stops. We had plenty of time to explore and enjoy them. He was very knowledgeable about the area and the stops and shared as we drove. The air is so fresh I wish we could bottle it up and bring home. As an added bonus there were Highland Coos to pet at Midhope Castle (Lollybroch)! So cute! Highly recommend this tour with Young Steven!
What a great time! James was so knowledgeable and fun!
I loved this tour and seeing the locations where outlander was filmed. The tour guide was informative and the whole experience was hassle-free and enjoyable.
Great trip and wonderful guide.
Loved the tour, it was a great experience. We enjoyed all of the locations visited, we did not feel rushed and Alistair was a great tour director. Highly recommended
