Raïssa had the best energy when we were doing the night tour! Awesome experience overall as the cruise itself was worth it! Though having Raïssa as a tour guide made it much more enjoyable and created space for questions! Highly recommend it!
The walk down to the boat was long and down hill. People with mobility issues found it challenging. No information was given about how long it was to walk to the boat. The narrator sole quickly in English and French such that it was a running commentary and hard to follow while trying to seethe buildings he talked about. July 23 was cool and windy so we sat in lower level and the engine noise was loud making hearing the narrator difficult.
It was not set up very well looking at houses in the dark and couldn’t see out the windows unless you were set right at window , it was a minivan not a van with large windows . Then couldn’t stop to take any pictures of the lights . The cruise was good and informative. But very not very well organized
I had a very disappointing experience with Viator. The booking agent booked the wrong tour, which completely disrupted my plans. Despite providing the correct information, I ended up with a reservation I did not request. This caused unnecessary stress, wasted time, and made the experience very frustrating. I expected better attention to detail and better customer service. I hope Viator improves its booking process and provides better support when mistakes like this happen. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I cannot recommend this service.
Great tour but the the river tour was more interesting than the land part. Raïssa was a great guide. Due to the summer long days, most the tour took place under sun light.
As I recover from an injury, this seemed the best alternative to a walking tour. It was awesome! Our small group allowed for an interactive and enriching experience. The cruise was on a smaller, electric boat, which improved the overall experience. The highlight was definitely our guide Raissa. She was knowledgeable, engaging and incredibly sweet.
Raissa will be absolutely delighted to hear this and we hope you're feeling better and back exploring again very soon!
The first part of the tour which was the driving part was excellent. Our guide and guide-in- training were very friendly and gave us a personalized experience with lots of interesting information. The francophones kindly spoke English the entire time. The second part which was the Ottawa River boat ride was not as good because the guide had to speak non-stop very quickly to convey the information in both English and French which gave me a headache after a while. So 5 stars to the driving tour and 3 stars to the boat tour, for an average of 4.
The canal cruise was nice and the tour guide Lily was really good. The driving part was poor. It was dark so points of interest were not visible. We expected to see beautiful lights but this was not the case. That part of the trip should have been in daylight before the boat trip.
Beautiful sunset view. many interesting info given by the Guide with humor and clarity in both French and English, Benoit was perfect! For the city tour, Angela was also great, very clear in her remarks and very friendly.
Tour was the same sights as on the boat. No light show. Asked the guide to take us back to the hotel. Other family bailed out just before us. Waste of time and money
