Old San Juan Walking Tour

we were disappointed in what we saw- guide was informative about history think the time spent would have had a better experience seeing the forts-

Old San Juan is one of those places you have to experience in person. Walking through the colorful streets, historic buildings, plazas, and old city walls makes you feel like you’ve stepped into another time. I loved the beautiful Spanish architecture, the vibrant colors, local shops, restaurants, and the incredible views of the water. There is so much history around every corner, and it’s easy to spend several hours simply walking around and taking everything in. I especially enjoyed stopping for some authentic Puerto Rican food and taking my time exploring the different streets and plazas. The atmosphere is lively, welcoming, and full of Puerto Rican culture. If you're visiting Puerto Rico for the first time, I definitely recommend making Old San Juan part of your trip. Give yourself plenty of time to walk around, explore, eat, take pictures, and enjoy the history. 🇵🇷❤️ A must-visit in Puerto Rico!

The walking tour was excellent—deeply informative and grounded in solid history and facts. Our guide combined impressive knowledge of the city’s past with vivid storytelling, helping us see familiar streets from a completely new perspective. It really opened our eyes to layers of history we’d never noticed before and gave us a much richer understanding and appreciation of the city.

The tour started on time. David arrived right on schedule at the meeting point, introduced himself immediately, and offered us water. Throughout the walk it was clear that he knows the subject well and genuinely enjoys what he does. The route is demanding: you should be ready to walk for about 1 hour 30 to 1 hour 40 minutes. If you are going with someone who cannot handle a long walk, think it through first. A very good tour. I recommend it.

We visited many sights and learned history of the site and Puerto Rico while walking. The tour was a good pace with things to see while we were enjoying some shade from the morning sun

The two was great, even for old man. I signed up for the 930 tour, but it was canceled in the accommodated me at the 430 tour. Everything was great.

The experience was great! We had an easy meet up outside of Starbucks. Trip price/value was good as our guide, David, was very knowledgeable and provided great historical information while being very kind and funny. There are tons of opportunities for great photos. Please note that the tour covers a lot of ground. The length of the tour, combined with the heat and humidity and long distances walking the hills of old San Juan is worth noting. We did the afternoon tour (it was 95 degrees F in late August at 5 PM) and you should prepare to be fueled up (not hungry) and well hydrated prior to the tour. I would recommend having extra water/electrolytes.
