Description
Day trip from Lisbon and discover two of Portugal's most emblematic destinations: the medieval Villa of Óbidos and the historic fishing Villa of Nazaré, famous for its Atlantic landscapes and giant waves.
We started in Óbidos, exploring its stone streets, walls, and charming corners. We also visited a traditional winery with over 100 years of history, where you can enjoy a tasting of Ginjinha de Óbidos, served in a chocolate cup.
We continue along the Atlantic coast to Nazaré, visiting the Site and the famous Lighthouse, with views over Praia do Norte and the Atlantic. There will still be free time to explore the Villa and enjoy the local gastronomy.

We started the day in Óbidos, one of the most charming medieval villages in Portugal. With our guide, discover the history of the castle, the ancient walls, and the streets that preserve the medieval atmosphere of this historic Villa. There will also be an opportunity to appreciate the first views of Óbidos and get to know some of its main historical points.

After the guided tour, you will have free time to explore Óbidos at your own pace. Walk through the stone streets, discover small craft and traditional product shops, and get to know the unique atmosphere of this Villa.
During the visit, you can also try the famous Ginjinha de Óbidos, a traditional cherry liqueur served in a chocolate cup — one of the most characteristic gastronomic experiences of the region.

We follow the Atlantic coast to the famous Nazaré Lighthouse, located on the high point of the Nazaré Sítio promontory.
From here, enjoy one of the most impressive coastal views in Portugal, with the Atlantic Ocean, Praia do Norte, and the area world-renowned for its giant waves.

We finished the visit to Nazaré next to its famous beach.
There will be time to have lunch on your own in one of the local restaurants and enjoy the sea view. It is also an excellent opportunity to try some of the fish and seafood specialties for which Nazaré is known.
After lunch, we returned comfortably to Lisbon, concluding a day that combines history, culture, gastronomy, and Atlantic landscapes.

Wonderful Tour to Obidos and Nazare
This was such an enjoyable half day tour! John our driver was superb, and provided us with great information on the drive up to Obidos and then to Nazare. We had sufficient time in Obidos to look around, and my sister and I even walked around the castle wall! Really fun and a great experience! The town of Obidos is adorable, and we had the best pastel de nata of our trip to Portugal in Obidos! The tour provides adequate time to look around the town. Then we headed off to Nazare, another beautiful and outstanding town. We learned about the why the waves are so large in Nazare, and we had time for a wonderful seafood lunch in the town! It's a wonderful place to visit, and I highly recommend this tour. John did a wonderful job giving us restaurant recommendations, as well as answering all of our questions. This tour is a great way to see both of these lovely places!

Terrific half day tour!
Navas showed us the very best of Obidos and Nazaré- and recommended a delicious seafood restaurant for lunch. We had plenty of time to tour each place. Navas was extremely kind and knowledgeable, as well as an excellent storyteller!! We will be back!!

Excellent Driver/Guide!
The reason I gave 3 stars was simply based on the tour content. Our driver, Navaz, was EXCELLENT. Obidos & Navare were not worth the price tag and the driving time to get there. The previous day, we took Viator's "Sintra and Cascais Small Group Tour from Lisbon," and it was far more compelling for about half the price. I will post a review of that later. Please know Viator's booking process and communications right up to departue were very good. No problems at all. Also, please know we are very well traveled, and we just felt there wasn't anything unique about Obidos, and after visiting the Cliffs of Moher in Ireland, Navare was nothing special, in my opinion.

Obidos and Nazare Experience
Loved the Obidos and Nazare tour. It was a beautiful day and we were fortunate to visit both cities. Our guide John, was excellent. He gave us the history of both towns and helped the five of us who were on the tour to live the Portuguese experience. Highly recommend this tour.

This was an excellent...
This was an excellent tour! Navaz, our guide, was very knowledgeable and friendly! We were a group of 4 adults and Navaz was very accommodating. We especially appreciated being able to take our time in each stop and never felt rushed. Navaz made a lunch reservation for us right across from the beach. He also offered to take us to Fatima even though it was not on this particular tour and not far from Nazare. We took him up on his offer and it was a fantastic day! Thank you again, Navaz!
