Itinerary
The meeting point is at Avenida da Liberdade 9, in front of the Armani Exchange store.
The Chapel of the Apparitions is a small chapel in Fatima, marking the site where three shepherd children reported apparitions of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
You will stop and explore the Sanctuary of Fatima for about 1 hour. Fatima is today one of Catholicism’s major shrines and is visited by 6 million people every year. It is said that the Virgin Mary appeared to three children – Lucia, Francisco, and Jacinta – every single month from May 13th, 1917 until October 13th, 1917.
This church was established in the 14th century when King Ferdinand came on a pilgrimage to Our Lady of Nazare, commemorating an ancient miracle attributed to the Virgin Mary's intercession.
Nazare is a charming fishing town with plenty of places to stop and enjoy the ocean view. The town center is bustling with seafood restaurants, making it a great spot to sample local cuisine. Situated 110 meters (360 feet) above the ocean, this cliff-top area offers breathtaking views. One notable landmark is a small chapel built in 1182 by a local nobleman, Dom Fuas Roupinho, in gratitude to the Virgin Mary for saving his life. Close by is the baroque church, Igreja de Nossa Senhora da Nazare, which was constructed in the 14th century. Take some time to relax in this beautiful location and be sure to try a typical local restaurant for lunch.
Here, you will experience breathtaking views from a clifftop promontory.
To fully appreciate Praia da Nazare and the southern part of Nazare village, you will stop at the top of the Nazare cliff. This picturesque seaside view is definitely worth seeing.
You'll visit the small Hermida da Memoria chapel located on the edge of the Nazare cliff. It has been visited by many famous pilgrims, including Vasco da Gama.
Praia do Norte get some of the biggest waves in the world. It was in 2011 that this beach hit the headlines when Garrett McNamara surfed a record-breaking 24-meter wave here.
The Forte de Sao Miguel is a 16th-century fort that was converted into a lighthouse. It offers spectacular views of the ocean and houses the Nazare Canyon Interpretive Center.
Obidos is a medieval town that was captured from the Moors in 1148. Since then, it has been a walled city, featuring cobblestone streets and whitewashed houses adorned with flowers. Founded on a hilltop with views of the ocean, the bay gradually silted up, and since the 15th century, Obidos has been a landlocked town. However, Obidos is not just about its medieval architecture; it is also known for its lively festivals, bookstores, small museums, and local delicacies like chocolate and ginjinha (a cherry liqueur, one serving per person is included in the price). In recent years, Obidos has been reinventing itself as a literary center.
The meeting point is at Avenida da Liberdade 9, in front of the Armani Exchange store

This tour is a must! Great ambiance, itinerary and Tania is a awesome! She is extremely knowledgeable and friendly. She made sure we were comfortable and happy, and she accomodated all our needs, especially that we have a 4 year-old! We highly recommend this tour, especially with Tania!!
There is so much to see! There is so much to learn about a country that has been off the radar for tourism. My guide Katerina, was amazing with her knowledge and personal stories about the areas we visited. Our time was limited at each stop by our restrictions with another meeting. This tour is not to be missed. Travel was comfortable and very safe. Thank you Katerina for an excellent day! Thank you Kat for getting my charger back to me so quickly!
This was a wonderful and memorable experience. The staff were friendly, professional, and always willing to help. Everything was well organized, and we felt very well taken care of throughout the trip. I would definitely recommend this experience to other travelers—relax, enjoy every moment, and take time to appreciate the excellent service!

Excellent Private Tour with Lilly! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had an absolutely wonderful private tour to Fátima, Nazaré, and Óbidos with our amazing guide, Lilly. From start to finish, she was warm, knowledgeable, professional, and made the experience feel truly personalized for our group of six. Lilly’s recommendations for dining, sightseeing, and the best places to experience along the way were absolutely on point. She went above and beyond to make sure everyone in our group was comfortable and enjoying the day. Having a private tour made such a difference, and Lilly was the perfect guide. She helped make our day memorable, relaxed, and filled with wonderful experiences. Highly recommend this tour and especially Lilly! If you’re visiting Lisbon and want to explore Fátima, Nazaré, and Óbidos, this is a fantastic way to do it. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Really great full day tour! Mix of religious, historic and scenic stops. Miguel, was amazing as he could answer every question and made for a great guide. Highly recommend!
Incredible! We booked this to have another day trip without knowing much about any of the places. We loved Obidos. Our guide, Miguel was incredibly knowledgeable and kind. He welcomed all questions and gave lots of recommendations. Being in a small group was nice too as it felt more personal. Highly recommend, esp with Miguel.
The guide offered little insight into any area visited and mostly acted as a taxi service. We gained no insight into Fatima, she recommended a restaurant in Nazarre which was a reservations only restaurant and would be absent from us for at least half of the time.
We were fortunate to have Carolina as our guide to visit Fátima, Nazaré and Óbidos. She was superb! Engaging, knowledgeable and simply fun to be with, Carolina added something extra to every part of our day together. Our memories of the visit will be forever connected to Carolina's special presence!
Our tour guide, lily made the day great. Our stops were well planned and beautiful. Our small group of eight was perfect. We soon became close friends
