Great experience
Very informative and great to be in a small group. Shame there were no octopus or larger turtles.

A great night tour
What a beautiful made aquarium. We booked the night at the aquarium tour and learned so much. The group size was small , 20 people, so it’s perfect to see the animals and listen at the same time without problems. The passion and enthusiasm of our guide Shanen (sorry if spelled wrong!) was contagious. All the animals have names - and it’s obvious the people taking care of them really care for them. If you want to find out what keystone species are and why the systems collapse without them , go and find out on a tour!

A fun visit to the aquarium
We were staying nearby and booked last minute for the night tour. Our kids are 11 and 8, both really enjoyed the tour and did not get bored once. The guide was lovely and very knowledgeable. The group was small so you were able to ask questions and see a lot more than you would with crowds around. You are able to purchase a drink from Squire’s Loft and take your drink with you into the tour.

The Cairns Aquarium has 12 ecosystems with over 16 000 animals spread throughout them! We are home to the tallest deep reef tank in the southern hemisphere and the largest freshwater tank within Australia! We also have a 1.4 million litre oceanarium home to our sharks and rays!

Fab night visit and tour 🐠
Great tour of the aquarium in a small group (approx 20) with a super knowledgeable and friendly guide (Daniel). While you don't see any different exhibits, the sharks and rays were a lot more active. Note it's a pretty fast paced tour but if you tell your guide anything you'd like to see he'll point it out for you along the way. They also open the gift shop at the end! This was a great option for me as I couldn't visit during the day.

See Cairns Aquarium in an evening
From a welcoming start to the finish with the dangerous coral fish, this guided tour gave a great insight into a wide range of all sorts of creatures in the Cairns area. Our guide Calvin was knowledgeable, friendly and very approachable. Seeing fish as evening rolled into night was a great time to see the creatures being quite active. There were plenty of places to sit along the tour. Children could move and were kept interested without disturbing the adults. Gift shop purchases could be done too. A great tour if an evening is the time you have to see Cairns.
