Jim was a lovely tour guide! He was incredibly informative, friendly, and funny. Whether you’re traveling alone or with your family or friends, take one of the trolley tours. They’re worth it especially if you like historical homes.
Was great ride, lots information, wonderful places and stops along the way, and the Mansions definitely on a different hera. Was a really good day. Me and my family enjoy very much. Thank you
Poor sound system. Tour guide/ driver ( Dominic, I think) asks everyone not to speak during the tour. You can see why given you had to strain to hear him. He also asked that everyone leave the windows open because he personally liked windows open. It was a hot humid day. The a/c was on ( i think) but it did no good with everyone’s window open. Dont use Viking tours.
Larry gave us so much information and was funny! The tour was great. The mansions were so beautiful and the time provided for them were just right
The best way to see Newport! Our guide Larry, was a tremendous source of information and provided in an entertaining way. We also were able to tour both Marble House and the Breakers which are not to be missed. Tremendous value. Highly recommend.
Tom was a really great guide. His knowledge of landmarks and history is fabulous. He was also really helpful about parking, bathrooms, and logistics that we tourists deal with. He's a terrific guy. The only negative is that his voice is not strong, so despite the microphone, he was hard to understand at some points. Others on the trolley said the same thing, so it wasn't just our opinion. I'm sure if we had asked him to speak louder and annunciate more, he would have. Aside from that, he really was terrific. What a great tour this was, too! Having an hour and a quarter in each mansion was just perfect, and Tom was prompt in meeting us just where he said he'd be. I'd definitely go again.
The narrator made it especially worthwhile. Very informative and entertaining, we were chatting and joking around with the driver
Ray is a wonderful tour guide, if you get him as your driver/guide, you’re in for a treat! His little anecdotes were relatable to all ages on the tour and were a nice personal touch. The city is beautiful, and even with less than ideal weather, we had some pretty amazing views. Highly recommend touring both mansions- they’re both opulent but the differences were striking, and on their own, $30+ each for admission, which were included with the tour. Well worth every penny spent!
It was a great experience. Our guide Tom was really good. We learned a lot and saw a lot. I would definitely recommend this.
Exceptional tour with a very interesting overview of the local history. Dominic was a excellent tour guide. He provided a wealth of local knowledge and interesting historical information.
