You and your guide will buy quality “neta” or ingredients for your sushi making class directly from the fish market. Relocate to our studio and learn how to make “temari”, “maki” or rolled and “chirashi” sushi so that you could not only enjoy but also replicate and hold sushi parties at home. ✨ Highly Recommend - Must Try ✨

The guides were a perfect duo. They spoke excellent English and explained everything well. The fish market was super interesting to be a part of. Loved picking out and buying our fish fresh and preparing right after. The sushi, sweets and tea were superb. The tea ceremony was a once in a lifetime opportunity that enhanced the entire experience. Highly recommend. Was exactly what was stated, all in one experience! They were open for questions and gave recommendations for the rest of our trip.

Wonderful and delicious experience!

I can’t say enough great things about this tour. For Tokyo newbies and veterans alike, I got to see a new side of my host city thanks to Max and his wonderful staff. My family and I not only enjoyed the thoughtful walking tour of the Tsukiji area, but we also loved the delicious sushi and Japanese sweets and tea ceremony. I strongly recommend this tour. You won’t be disappointed!

A very interesting and educational experience

This was a great experience. It was very interesting to learn the basics of Japanese cuisine and how to make sushi with fish bought fresh from Tsukiji Market. The food was very fresh and delicious. The Japanese Tea Ceremony was also a very interesting and rewarding experience, with careful explanations of the history and process that allowed a better enjoyment of the experience. I would also highly recommend joining the morning Tsukiji Market Tour. Going through the complex Tsukiji market was very interesting, and as a tourist, I would easily get lost if I traveled alone. Both the tour guide and cook/tea master were very kind and spoke fluent English, which made communication easy. In summary, I would highly recommend it.

Magnificent

The Sushi was from the Tsukiji market bought the same day. We learnt how to make three different types of sushi, thick roll sushi, chirashi sushi and tamari sushi which I think I can make at home. We didn’t know that the tea ceremony was always accompanied with a seasonal confectionery and we were making some of that for desert. That was beautiful and a great way to connect the sushi and tea ceremony session. The tea ceremony session wrapped everything up. Very serene, beautiful and Japanese. The tea was a Koyama-en brand, an elite tea of the highest quality. That itself would have made just that cup of tea at least 1500 yen had we had it at a tea shop. The studio was at a quiet apartment and that indicated to me that a Japanese person can build a small but complete tea space within a living space and enjoy sessions that would had us believe only possible in large tea ceremony houses. An incredible glimpse of Japan culture, housing, the tea and the sushi.

All in one experience of Japan

The tour was awesome. Strolling Tsukiji while tasting dashi soup and other stuff was fun. After that there was a culture experience at another place where we made our own sushi and sweets for tea. The tea that the tea master made was delicious which we drank after eating our hand-made sweets. Using the real tea utensils was thrilling. What a tour it was! All these experiences in a day. I am definitely coming back again to learn more about food and culture of Japan.
