The enchanting old-world town of Fussen lies in the foot hills of the Alps, framed by one of the most breathtaking natural settings in the world. Traveling with your small group guided tour from Munich, you'll tour the ethereal Neuschwanstein Castle, be taken to the best vantage points; the lake, the postcard-perfect aerial view of the equally beautiful Hohenschwangau Castle and to the waterfall gorge.
From the operator’s live schedule on Viator, checked Oct 7.
This where the tour starts and you meet your guide. After that, it will be a 2 hour journey to Neuschwanstein.
Schloss Neuschwanstein, often known as Germany’s "Cinderella castle," was actually the inspiration for a different Disney story, the ‘Sleeping Beauty’ castle at Disneyland. The entrance fee to the castle is not included (you can pay on the day), but by booking this tour in advance, you’ll receive skip-the-line access to Neuschwanstein so you won’t waste time standing in the ticket queue. The entrance fee to the castle is not included (you can pay on the day), but by booking this tour in advance, you’ll receive skip-the-line access to Neuschwanstein so you won’t waste time standing in the ticket queue. Once inside the enchanting structure, take a tour with a guide, who shares fascinating stories about the reclusive Bavarian king who commissioned a new residence in the 19th century. Thought to be mad, King Ludwig II desired a fantasy castle built in the mountains, an obsessive feat that was still incomplete when he died. Visit the best vantage points for views and photo ops of the castle’s towers, interiors and surrounding scenery such as the lake, gorge and equally beautiful Hohenschwangau Castle.
We will return to the starting point to conclude the tour.

The Castle was awesome and the surrounding scenery and town added to the charm of this place. It is well worth the money and time. Our tour guide Nick was very friendly and knowledgeable about the history of the castle.
Gerald, glad you had an awesome tour to the castle with Nic, the 5 stars are greatly appreciated.
Amazing experience. Great value for the price. It was really easy to find the meetup spot, and the bus trip to the castle was shorter than expected and very entertaining, as Jeremy (our guide) was knowledgeable and told entertaining stories about the castle and the history of Ludvig II. Experiencing the castle was also wonderful. We got some time to explore for ourself, and also the guided tour of the castle's insides. There were plenty of cafes and restaurants for a snack or a meal. We were also blessed with nice weather, and it made the whole experience more magical. 10/10 experience, would book again if I come back to Munich.
Astrid, thanks for taking the time to review your tour to the castle with Jeremy and Radius Tours, your 5 stars are much appreciated.
It would be a great experience if you’ve never seen the castle before. If you have, not sure it’s worth the long ride. Disappointing that there were no bathrooms on the bus for such a long ride.
Thanks Karol for the great review of your tour to the castle, would be worth a mention that the bus does stop for a break. Safe travels.
Absolutely 💯 AMAZING 👏 WE LOVED everything about it Jeremy was FANTASTIC!! BEST guide ever 💕

Leon was an excellent guide. Very entertaining and helpful. Lots of steps and walking, but it was worth it to see the inside of the castle. The only thing I wish I had done differently would have been to bring a picnic to eat next to the lake, the food options in town were limited.
Thanks Anita for the review of your tour with Leon, there are about 8 restaurants and many kiosks to buy food from by the way, maybe you just missed them. Safe travels.
Our tour guide was very informative and funny. I would highly recommend doing it this way if you are staying in Munich, otherwise book a hotel near the area. You get plenty of time to see the castles, the majestic landscapes and views that come with it, the bridge overlooking everything, and the most clear lake I've ever seen.
Thanks for the high recommendation of your tour to the castle with Radius Tours, much appreciated.
Jeremy was fantastic. I believe he was made for doing this. His voice is soothing & very pleasant to listen to; he is a historian and has a great sense of humor. Highly recommend!
