Museo Nacional Thyssen-Bornemisza is a must see in Madrid. It is one of the most relevant museums in the city, in the country and in the world.
Its impressive art collection mesmerizes all types of public, and that is due to its catalogue of about 1,000 works on display that range from ancient painting of the 13th century to the avant-gardes of the 20th century.
The collection includes great artists such as Titian, Rubens, Rembrandt, Caravaggio, Manet, Renoir, Van Gogh, Gauguin, Kandinsky, Hopper or Picasso.
Besides this, the museum schedules important temporary exhibitions that play a major role within the cultural agenda of the city. It also offers many activities for all audiences, and most especially for young people: concerts, cinema, workshops and conferences, among others.
Lastly, the Museum Shop, with an independent access, is an elegant space with exclusive items inspired by some works of art, created by well-known artists and designers as well as by local artisans.

Must visit in Madrid if you like art.
This is a wonderful and uncrowded museum. Great works of art from many of the great artists and since it's not crowded it's easy to move around the artwork.

an extraordinary museum
an extraordinary museum, which complements well the Prado which is close to Queen Sofia. It's huge, the paintings are prodigious, Dali, Picasso, Gauguin, etc...

Absolutely a must
Of the three "major museums", that is Prado, Reina Sofia and Thyssen-Bornemisza, I found this one to be my favorite. The permanent collection is excellent. Less crowded than the first two and better organized. Diverse and in-depth.
I would recommend buying a pass to enter the three museums: it saves a little bit of money and some time to enter
Operator response

Entry to the museum was quick. All staff were helpful and friendly, and in good spirits. And of course, the permanent collection on the ground floor (our reason for being there) was superb.

The "MUST SEE" art museum in Madrid
Visit the best art museum in all Madrid. The collection is amazing and one of the best examples of artists from multiple time periods. This museum was a better experience than the Prado Museum. If you only have time to visit one, this needs to be your choice. It was less crowded and you are able to take pictures. Having those memories makes the visit one you will talk about for a long time.
