Please meet us at 3.55pm at the Statue of Juliet / Marienplatz 15 where we will meet your guide and then have a brief introduction to Munich before walking over to our shop to collect your bike for your tour. Helmets are incl. on request.
The Platzl: Home of Munich's Heartbeat. This charming, historic square is essentially the birthplace of Munich's legendary beer culture! It's famously home to the world-renowned Hofbräuhaus, and its cobblestone streets are lined with traditional Bavarian buildings. The Platzl perfectly captures the essence of old Munich, making it a lively and authentic stop
Our second stop is to relish you with stories of the Wittelsbacher family and their ties with Napoleon. We also tell you more about the Opera House and the Residenz.
This majestic square is one of Munich's most impressive, modeled after a famous piazza in Florence. As we cycle through, you'll see the towering yellow Theatinerkirche (Theatine Church), a stunning Baroque masterpiece, and the Feldherrnhalle, a monument with a powerful, pivotal role in modern Bavarian history. It's a place where grand parades and significant historical events have unfolded, offering a glimpse into Munich's regal and dramatic past.
This immense complex right in the city center was the former home and seat of power for Bavaria's Wittelsbach rulers for over 400 years. As we cycle by, you'll see its grand facades, hinting at the hundreds of lavish rooms, courtyards, and treasures within. It's Germany's largest city palace and a living testament to centuries of Bavarian royalty.
This beautiful Renaissance-style garden, once exclusively for royalty, is now a serene public oasis. We'll cycle through its manicured lawns, past impressive fountains, and admire the iconic Diana Temple at its heart – often a spot for dancers or musicians on sunny days. It's a peaceful contrast to the city's bustling squares and a perfect place to enjoy Munich's green side.
Get ready to immerse yourselves in one of the world's largest and most beautiful urban parks! As we cycle through this sprawling green space, you'll discover tranquil paths, lush meadows perfect for sunbathing, and even a flowing river. Our lively stop within the English Garden! This iconic beer garden surrounds a unique 25-meter wooden pagoda. It's a fantastic spot to experience authentic Bavarian 'Gemütlichkeit' (coziness) under chestnut trees. You'll have time to relax, soak in the atmosphere, and purchase traditional food and refreshing drinks (not included).
This imposing building, located at the edge of the English Garden, is more than just an art museum. It's a monumental structure with a complex history, originally built in the 1930s. Today, it stands as a significant international center for contemporary art, hosting impressive changing exhibitions. We'll pause to admire its distinctive architecture and learn about its journey through time.
Isartor: Munich's Medieval Gateway. One of Munich's three remaining medieval city gates, the Isartor stands as a proud reminder of the city's ancient fortifications. It's a striking landmark that transports you back in time, marking the eastern edge of the old city center.

This was an absolute blast. I was only in Munich for one day and had no firm plans. This was a great way to enjoy the sites without getting lost or exhausting yourself. Munich is a lovely place to ride a bike in, and ending at the beer garden was fun. My host was professional and friendly. It was nice getting little bits of information on all the recommended sites without having to research them in advance. I loved the English Gardens!

We had so much fun on this tour of Munich. It was super laid-back and we learned a lot about the history of the city. We went to a great beer garden and biked through the English garden, which was my favorite part. Munich is such a beautiful city and I can’t wait to explore it by bike next time. Kyle was a great guide, with such a fun personality! It was great chatting with him and he made the whole experience super fun. We would definitely recommend you all to friends!

A wonderful historical experience tempered with wit and good hearted humour. Kyle's balance of information and wit is commendable and his histoical knowledge is admirable. We were a large group of 16 riders but the good sensible cycling pace cycling was managed well with successful negotiations of across roads. Not to mention the rear was carefully managed by "the sweeper" Dougie. The route is a mix of off road and cycle paths and almost completely flat making it suitable for cycling experiences. A thoroughly enjoyable experience. Thank you Kyle and Dougie.
