Description
Dharavi is the largest slum in India, located in Mumbai. It became famous after the movie "Slumdog Millionaire" was inspired by it. Dharavi is a unique place to explore, with a population of around one million people and a literacy rate of 69 percent. The slum has an impressive entrepreneurial culture, with small-scale industries such as pottery, leather production, textiles, and recycling. As you walk through the narrow alleyways, you can see skilled artisans creating useful products out of discarded materials.

We did the tour with Kavitha, great ease in meeting at the meeting point, very friendly and complete explanations with a lot of detail. The tour is super interesting and it is worth noting that even though we were 2 girls accompanied also by Kavitha, at all times we felt safe. We recommend this tour 100%.

The Dharavi tour was truly one of the most memorable parts of our time in Mumbai.
