Come visit Dharavi, the city within a city and one of Asia's largest slum. We shall cover places like The Recycling Area, Rooftop Visit, Popaddom Making, Kumbharwada Pottery Colony etc. The area is an industrial hub and is home to nearly one million of Mumbai's residents.
The tour will end at our office in Dharavi where guests can enjoy a soft drink and learn more about how funds are re-invested back into the community.

The meeting point is The tour begins at the main entrance and ticket office on the West side of the station. To check if you are in the right spot, verify that V-Jai Restaurant and Bakery is opposite and Third Wave Coffee is diagonally opposite. . Hotel pickup is not part of this experience.

The slum tour was a really great and interesting experience. Everything was very well organized, and we felt comfortable and welcome throughout the tour. Our guide was friendly and informative, and we learned a lot about the local community and everyday life. We really enjoyed it and would definitely recommend the tour!

Would highly recommend this tour. It has been one of the most interesting tours myself and the family have ever experienced. Fascinating to realise just how ingenious people living in the slums are. Bipin our guide was exceptional. We could really tell how himself and the rest of the team (met with Krishna) genuinely care and have such passion regarding improving the lives of people living in the slums.

Chetan is able to articulate the dharavi situation from many angles - economic, social, political and personal. Good context on how everything fits for geopolitics too. Good sense of humor. Heart in the right place. You'll learn a lot from this guy, highly intelligent and articulate.

This was one of the best tours we’ve had in several years of traveling. Our guide Chetan was exceptionally knowledgeable, thoughtful, respectful (of the Dharavi residents and us), and organized. He managed every detail perfectly, even down to our special timing request. (And his English was of course very good.) In a bit more detail: We learned a lot about both Dharavi and its larger environment. And we very much appreciated the care that was taken not to disrupt the residents of the neighborhood, and to carefully advise when photos were appropriate and inappropriate. It was a bonus that Chetan grew up in Dharavi as well; we appreciated his subtle pride in the community. We can’t recommend this tour highly enough!
