So much fun for everyone- we would actually do it again. And the homemade chocolate is delicious.

Fantastic experience
This is a wonderful class with a very accommodating instructor who clearly displays an enthusiasm for her craft of creating and teaching tourists the art of Mozartkugel making. The final result is both visually appealing with the array of packaging choices and of course tasty. It was an extra treat to have a window into the life of a Salzburg local by having this class hosted on the instructor’s apartment. We even crossed paths again with her at the local farmer’s the next day!
Operator response
We are so happy you enjoyed your time with us and that you liked the glimpse into local life. Salzburg is a tiny town (despite the worldclass reputation) and running into each other at the Market is another typical Salzburg thing 🤗

Awful
Pretty awful experience from start to finish. I booked this tour well in advance as a surprise for my partner during her trip to Salzburg — something I'd put real thought into as a special experience. The day before it was due to take place, the owner canceled on me, citing insufficient guest numbers. The refund was processed through PayPal, but due to currency conversion and PayPal's fees, I actually ended up losing money on a tour I never even got to take. Not exactly the definition of a refund.
I understand that low bookings can be a genuine issue for small operators, but canceling the day before — when flights and accommodation are already locked in — shows a complete lack of consideration for guests who have planned around this experience. If minimum guest numbers are a requirement, that should be clearly communicated upfront, along with a proper cancellation policy that doesn't leave customers out of pocket.
Would not book again and cannot recommend.
Operator response
We are very sorry to learn that the cancellation of the chocolate workshop caused so much distress. That was never our intention. Please know that we take all your comments seriously and will be going through all information again to make sure that the cancellation policy is clear. When cancelling, we always offer alternative dates/times - unfortunately, your schedule seems not to have allowed such change. However, we hope you had a good stay in our beautiful city nevertheless!

Class was good, admin not very professional
I tried messaging the teacher through their website before the class and never received a response. Annoyingly you can only book for two people (despite their being six others their), and while I accepted that I had booked two tickets for one person, the ticket said it includes the ingredients to make a certain number of chocolates and not a single effort was made to offer that (which had been paid for!) in order to take home. The second ticket was just not permitted.
The class was enjoyable but the organisation of the class needs to consider its professionalism as this is not a cheap experience.
