Would not recommend

This tour was distinctly unorganized. It left almost 45 minutes late due to the guide not showing. There was no management on site to organize in the interim. There is a not very good lunch stop mid tour that is cash only (which was not noted by the company as needed and somewhat unexpected after Tokyo where cash is rarely needed) and very touristy, clearly a deal struck with the tour company. There was no alternative options and it was in the middle of nowhere. The tour involves basically no information or guiding from the guide, it is essentially a bus service. The logistics of each stop were also not really organized by the guide leading to a free for all amongst the guests with no oversight. We ended up returning approximately 12 hours after meet up (versus the listed 10). The company states this can happen due to traffic but it was not traffic, it is simply lack of organization. Therefore, if you book, plan at least 12 hours.

Operator response

Thank you for your feedback. I'm sorry that the tour guide was late this morning because the Tokyo subway was out of service for a while
