Mount Batur Sunrise Trekking

We had an amazing experience trekking Mount Batur, and our guide Ayu was absolutely lovely. She was so patient, kind and encouraging throughout the whole trek, making the experience feel comfortable and enjoyable. The achievement of reaching the summit was incredible, and the views were absolutely sensational. Watching the sunrise from Mount Batur is something I’ll never forget. 🌅❤️ A truly unforgettable experience and a wonderful memory that will last a lifetime. I would highly recommend this trek, and especially Ayu as a guide! 🙏🏽✨

We had a great experience doing the sunrise hike. We were picked up from our hotel at around 2am and driven to the mountain, where we met our guide, Rio, before starting the hike. Rio was friendly and helpful throughout and spoke English, which made it easy to communicate along the way. He is also continuing to improve his English and it was nice getting to know him during the walk. The hike itself doesn’t take too long to reach the top, although it is very popular and there were a lot of other hikers on the trail. Some of the narrower sections, particularly during the second half of the climb, can get quite busy and there were points where we had to wait for people ahead of us to move up. Once at the top, the sunrise and views across Bali were beautiful and definitely made the early start worthwhile. On the way back down, Rio also took us on an alternative walking route rather than following the main dirt-bike track. There are lots of bikes travelling up and down which can create a lot of dust, so we really appreciated him taking us a quieter way down and avoiding most of this. Everything from the early morning pickup through to being dropped back at our hotel was well organised. A special thank you to Rio for looking after us and getting us safely up and down the mountain and our driver Wayan getting us there and back. We really enjoyed the experience and would recommend it to anyone wanting to do a sunrise hike while visiting Bali.

Tut picked me up right on time at 2.30am and dropped me off to Maanwiss who was my guide for the morning. Maanwiss was an amazing guide, very knowledgeable about the volcano and surrounding area. He kept the pace up the mountain perfectly, allowing me to stop to rest whenever I needed. He showed me where to walk on the tricky areas, and caught me when I stumbled. Maanwiss took ALL THE BEST photos for the sunset - and seated me at the best seat for the best views! Thank you so much Maanwiss for sharing this morning hike with me 🙏 Then Tut was waiting for me at the end and off to the hot springs, Tut went above and beyond getting my tickets, dropping me exactly where I needed, and was always waiting and ready to go when I was! Last stop was the coffee plantation where I was served with 15 different coffee and tea samples - amazing experience! Before being dropped right back at my doorstep. Thank you so so much for making an unforgettable trip - highly recommend to anyone!

We had an amazing time! The views from up Mt. Batur are spectacular. A special shout out to Prett, he was absolutely professional and a great conversationalist. He was there to help at every step of the way. Definitely recommend booking this through them. A fair warning, definitely be prepared for a brutal hike up and down the mountain. The good part

I want to specifically thank Dewa, our amazing driver for keeping us in safe hands and adding the utmost professionalism to the experience. The views were beautiful, but Dewa’s bubbly personality and warmth as well as his fantastic driving made it so relaxing overall.

One of the best experiences of my life! Amazing trek with STUNNING views. The highlight though was my guide Rio. A kind and energetic young man that spoke amazing English. He provided breakfast and snacks and great conversation and was also extremely happy to be taught some new English words. Could not recommend him enough!

Great experience hiking up Mount batur with our guide Rio who kindly collected us from our accommodation in ubud the day before and then met us at 3 A.M to start the trip up the mountain Slight rain made us doubtful about the hike up but we persisted and were extremely glad we did, although misty at the top still a fantastic experience, and good photography skills from the guide, a smooth walk down and then Rio took us to the hot springs and coffee plantation which was very interesting and then finally to our next accommodation to continue our travels.

It is the best experience for me, worth to share with everyone, my guide Rio is the best too, it actually overwhelms me on how he guided me during the hike, he is fun to be with, so accommodating and speaks English very well. If there is some time someone ask me about it I will definitely recommend the tour especially the guide. Thank you for making it memorable experience for me.
