Moray, with its circular terraces that descend like enormous amphitheaters toward the earth, holds the secrets of an ancient agricultural laboratory. Each level was a living experiment, where the ancient Incas domesticated plants, adapting them from the icy heights to the warm valleys, and vice versa, as if playing with the climate itself. In 1985, by placing thermometers on each terrace, researchers witnessed a silent spectacle: each level had its own microclimate, its own temperature, its own life.
With over 7,200 salt pools, shimmering like snow in the sunlight, the Maras Salt Mines are renowned for their remarkable medicinal properties. This Peruvian treasure is not only an invaluable resource for the country but also a coveted commodity in international markets. Located near the majestic Sacred Valley of the Incas, these salt mines offer a truly unique spectacle. Currently, access by ATV is prohibited, so we traveled by our transport for 10 minutes to admire this fascinating site before returning to Cusco.
At the end of our tour, we will visit the vibrant local market of Chinchero. Here, you will have the opportunity to see how local artisans extract natural dyes from plants, flowers, and minerals, and witness the traditional techniques they use to create colorful textiles. You’ll see how they craft beautiful ponchos, sweaters, blankets, and other handmade items, each reflecting the rich heritage and culture of the Andean people.

Today we have a great time on our first day in Cusco, because of this excellent trip. Amazing tour guide, nice ATV coach. We enjoy the time in riding ATV to Moray, fantastic scenery. It’s a nice way to enjoy the valley. After ATV, we went to Salineras to view the fantastic salt land, and the guide provides us lots of information. I will highly recommend this to others.
We had a great time with Cuatrimotos Cusco. It ended up just being my friend and I in our group and the tour guide was good. Here are the reasons I took off stars: 1. I felt slightly mislead. We want to Salineras first but we had to get there by car, not on ATV. Based on the description, it sounded like we were getting on ATV's first and seeing everything from there but that was not the case. We went to Salineras by car, which was fine, but I think they should say that in the itinerary. The rest of the day was beautiful and very fun riding the ATV's. 2. Our time at Moray was also pretty limited. We had to pay over 100 soles for the entrance ticket but could only stay for 20 min. I would recommend this trip but we had a ton of fun, but just wish they were more clear in the itinerary because it was different than my expectations.

I recently went on a trip to Peru with my boyfriend and 2 friends. After a lot of research, we found Cuatrimotos and we could not have been happier with the experience. The tickets were very reasonably priced (even though they do not include admission at some sites, it was very easy to purchase those once we got there). Our driver, Mario was very punctual and stopped to buy us water bottles. We went on the ATV tour to Moray and Saltmines with our tour guide Omar who was very friendly, knowledgeable and attentive.
