Arriving at least 45 minutes before the sunrise, you’ll have the rare opportunity to experience Moraine Lake in peaceful solitude, long before the crowds arrive. As you step off the vehicle, you’ll be welcomed with the warmth of a hot beverage in your hands and a thoughtfully prepared bag that includes a headlamp, blanket, and sit pad, ensuring you’re comfortable and cozy as you settle in to watch the first light break over the lake. - Minimum Age: 6 years. For safety and comfort, we cannot accommodate children under 6.
- You will receive your specific pickup time by email at least 2–3 days prior to your tour date. Please make sure to check for this email, as your pickup time will depend on your selected location.
- Our tours proceed rain, shine, or snow (yes, even in the summer!). However, in extreme weather conditions, we prioritize your safety and comfort—so we’ll either reschedule your tour or offer a refund.
- Watching the sunrise at Moraine Lake is chilly! Dress in layers to stay warm and ready for unpredictable mountain weather.
- In order to participate all adults must sign a waiver prior to the tour. A waiver must also be completed by the parent or guardian of any child under the age of 18. Failure to complete the waiver will result in the cancellation of your tour.
- No-shows, missed departures, or unused services are non-refundable.
- We require at least 4 guests for the tour to proceed. If we don’t reach this minimum number, we will offer you options to reschedule or receive a full refund.

It was an early morning but totally worth it! Our guide Nick was a super nice and very informative! They had blankets and seat pads and coffee for a cold morning 38F! Everything was on time and just as planned!

We went on this tour in Wednesday 5 August, Pam was out guide. The tour was brilliant and Pam was superb. It's well worth getting up at 2.30am🙈 , back before lunch.

Sebastian provided great information, kept us on time, and was super patient. The van was comfortable although crowded with 23 adults. A pack is provided with a headlamp, blanket, and seat cushion. Coffee, tea and hot coco also provided

This was an awesome experience and our tour guide was very informative during the long drive to the lake. I wish we would have been given more direction about two things: there were many places to move to view the sunrise, not just the small area we were taken to that filled up very quickly. We also wish we had been told to stay up on the rockpile the entire time at Moraine Lake. Instead, we went down to hike along the water and about half an hour after the sun rose, the mountains were glowing and would have looked amazing from the top. This tour does not provide enough time to do a hike and the sunrise at Moraine Lake, just the sunrise. Lake Louise was beautiful, the guide took pictures of each group, and there was enough time to do a short hike. Great way to see both lakes, we just wish we’d been given more directions/options with the sunrise.

Justin was an amazing tour guide! This trip was definitely worth the early start to the day! We learned a lot about the area and had a great time. I would recommend following the pre tour advice for how to dress. It was chilly so we wore layers which were perfect. If this was going to be your only stop to Lake Louise and Moraine Lake, it's not enough time to do much at each site. We were lucky enough to snag a shuttle reservation another day so we could do a longer hike.
