It was a very good tour for the time we had at Montserrat. It is a hidden gem outside of Barcelona about 1 hour drive. To really appreciate the funicular, hike, and cog train you need a full day. My tour was about 3 hours not including travel. Get there early the crowds are crazy by lunchtime. Do funicular first to avoid very long lines. The views are breathtaking!
Javi, is a great guide. He’s personable, knowledgeable, and is easy to talk to. He explains the tour very well. I would highly recommend the tour with the exception that if you were planning to see the Black Madonna you can only see her from afar. The tickets for a close up experience is not included in this tour. Fue un placer conocerle, Javi.
The final tour of our trip left us with a fantastic impression. Despite the rain, our guide Eduardo turned the excursion into a real treat, full of insights and anecdotes. I highly recommend both the tour and the guide.
A great tour if you want to learn about the history of Montserrat Monastery and its connection to Gaudí. Eduardo is a great expert on the architect and shared all his knowledge with us.
I am very happy with this tour. We had a terrible, rainy day, but thanks to Eduardo’s expertise, friendliness, and knowledge, he made it an enjoyable day for us.
If you are coming to Barcelona to discover the work of the master Gaudí, don't hesitate to book this tour. I recommend booking it with Eduardo; you will learn about and enjoy the history in a very friendly atmosphere.
Alejandro was very informative friendly and we learned so much about Montserrat. I would take the longer tour because there is so much to see and do
Alejandro was great We highly recommend him
Alejandro is very nice and knowledgable. Knows everything about the place and very friendly to everyone
Very enjoyable tour. Our guide Javi was excellent, very knowledgeable and humourous. He was very calm when the truck infront of us suffered a blowout on the way back.
