Montreal: Omega Park Canadian Wildlife Safari Adventure

This was the last time I did business with the Tuango platform and visited Parc Omega since I no longer trust them. I estimate that I paid double the regular price for a rental accommodation at Parc Omega last July. The ad boasted a night with a panoramic view of the wolves and/or bears, at a total cost of $545.11 including a substantial discount on the regular price (around $1000). Upon my arrival, I noticed that my night with a panoramic view of the wolves and/or bears was replaced by a log cabin featuring a tiny window with a view of the composting toilet. The image of the modern, glass-walled cabin that I received in my confirmation email is far from resembling the cabin in which I slept with my family. Looking at the Parc Omega website, I noticed that a night (a Sunday) in this cabin corresponds to a prospector cabin with a view of the deer at a cost of $252 before tax at the regular rate in high season. The Tuango promotion included access to the wolf/bear walkway, but when we wanted to access it, it was locked with a code. Furthermore, during our stay, we had to pay the park access fees for 5 adults in the amount of $221.10. I find it unacceptable to have to pay more than double the cost price for this accommodation which is offered at $252 without a promotion, in addition to paying for park access in the amount of $221.10 for an exorbitant total of $766.21 for less than 24 hours. Furthermore, I did not receive any email or call to inform me of this change. During my call to get information, a few days before my visit, the employee I spoke with never informed me of the change and no refund was issued following the downgrade. When I complained to Parc Omega, I was told that a check would be made with Tuango and I have had no news or discount from them. Tuango contacted me to ask for additional proof, and I sent the required screenshots. Their response was to tell us that the photos in the listing were not representative of the reserved accommodation and that they were not responsible for the accommodation assigned by the host. They refunded an amount of $78 since the walkway to see the wolves/bears had been closed for 1 year and Parc Oméga had not notified them of this change. In addition, a $50 credit was offered to us for a future purchase. For me, the amounts received in no way cover the surplus paid for this type of accommodation.

Beautiful park if you are traveling with children, it is a must-see stop. We stayed in the chalet des loups and it was excellent and exciting, it rained 2 days out of two and it was still beautiful, and then having the wolves in front of the window at night was spectacular. I would go back.

We stayed one night in a Pod in the deer area, which gave us the opportunity to visit the park for two consecutive days. Incredible experience! The fawns wander around your house. Better to stock up on carrots before arriving. The Pod is small, but well-organized and has everything necessary, including coffee machine capsules, salt, pepper, dish soap and sponge, and body wash. An outdoor barbecue that unfortunately we did not use because of the weather. The rain, however, did not ruin the experience; the animals were still out and about, and sleeping with the sound of the rain on the roof was magical. The only small drawback: there is no Wi-Fi available in the pods and our phones had no signal. It is acceptable for an experience in nature, but when we arrived there was a torrential downpour and a hurricane warning; we did not feel very safe being so isolated.

We stayed at the Wolf Chalet, which was too big for 2 people: ground floor with an equipped kitchen, large living room and dining room with floor-to-ceiling windows, a powder room, and a walk-in closet. First floor with 2 bedrooms, a small balcony protected by mosquito nets, and a large bathroom. Bed with a window in front, but to see the wolves, you have to be on the ground floor. Headboards equipped with charging outlets. A unique experience to see the wolves pass by while having dinner or during breakfast.

Our guide Isaac met us at our hotel and drove right to the Omega Park where we watched so many animals. Thr guide provided us with the food for deer. He stopped the car and gave is enough time and opportunity to observe and feed animals. My daughter was so happy and she admitted that this trip was great. It didn't seem like the way to get to park was long, everything went smoothy when no traffic. We were given enough time for lunch and tree climbing. I very much recommend this tour!

Isaac was fantastic! We had an amazing time. It was fun and educational. Isaac knew just where to find the animals, how long to stay in each spot for and was wonderful with both my 7 year old daughter and 75 year old mother. The drive there from Montreal was relaxing. Definitely wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty from Elk drool and carrots. The entire trip exceeded our expectations.

Isaac is a great tour guide! Bring binoculars and wear clothes that you don't mind getting elk drool on. Check the program schedule for the day before leaving for the park. Missed a talk on wolverines I would have enjoyed. I found out about it too late. I loved the big animal heads coming in the window begging for carrots. Overall a great day.

It was well worth the trip! Our guide Darya was exceptional. Being able to personally feed some of the animals was priceless.

This Tour operator did not show up the morning of the activity. We tried to call them. We tried to contact them via WhatsApp chat and via the app. We also called.Viator customer service who put us on hold while they tried to reach the Tour director and got no answer. After this no-show, they denied us a refund of $633 because we were less than 24 hours before the start of the tour as we sat at the entrance of this park the meeting point. We received no phone call or text message from them in the days leading up to the trip to tell us where an alternate meeting point might be so we showed up at the one advertised on the listing. Terrible experience we are out $633 and not satisfied with the third-party operator or Viator customer service

We came across this park almost by chance, when they were going from Ottawa to Montreal. It was supposed to be a couple of hours stopover, we stayed all day so excited. To do absolutely not only if you have children. It was great to see so many animals that we are definitely not used to seeing in southern Italy 😅.
