Mayfield Falls Tour with Lunch - Discount on groups(Original)

The pictures look great, but that is not what we actually saw. Mother nature changes a river and its surroundings. What we got to see was not at all what we were expecting and the hike itself was more strenuous than anticipated. I would not go again.

Incredible experience! Dave was an amazing guide, he was very helpful in guiding my mother (who can’t swim lol) through the pools, pointing out cool plants, and telling us about the limestone from a nearby cave. You can spend as much time as you want swimming around in the refreshing waters, so definitely recommend.

This was such a fun and unique experience! Once at the meeting point you head down a short trail to the river. From that point on, you are in the cool, clear water! During our visit we stopped multiple times along the way to swim and sit under the falls. Our guide, Jermaine, was amazing. He knew all the best spots and was our photographer for the adventure. Towards the end of the walk there is a rock you can jump or dive into the deep water. Highly recommend visiting Mayfield Falls! The car ride from Negril was about 90 minutes to the falls.

Roads to get to Mayfield Falls are ROUGH, but it is so worth it. Dave was an excellent guide! He was very kind and knowledgeable. I am a very clumsy person, and he made sure that I never fell (that’s a huge accomplishment, lol). The water was absolutely beautiful! It was cool and refreshing. Definitely would recommend taking this tour, be sure to ask for Dave!

Upon recommendation from our bartender Marcia at Samsara, we visited Mayfield in early May. The falls and mineral pools were nothing short of amazing. This was nature, none of the commercialization. Our guide Comfy knows the river and the falls so well, telling us where to step and allowing us to take as much time as we wanted. He also manned my iPhone and captured so many pics and videos! We climbed the falls and hiked back up through the jungle. Comfy also shared with us interesting facts about the plants and area—including the “shy girl” and the soap plant. We were also treated to a limestone scrub. This was a 2 1/2 hour ride from our resort but so worth it. Highly recommend but beware…it is somewhat physically challenging so be ready!

We had a great day venturing ourselves on the walk through the falls, the surroundings are stunning and we had Dave’s company who was a wonderful and very friendly guide, a must do experience we recommend for everyone and when you go ask for Dave.

Its a long ride over roads that have been damaged by the hurricane - but worth it. The place show still signs of damage - however the falls are a very nice natural experience - not at all like Dunns (disney falls) - The man showed us lots of nature. And our driver Damien was exceptional. Wear water shoes and take money for the local produce - Would not recommend this for anyone with walking issues or unsteady of foot as it involves climbing & walking on uneven river bed. There was only one group of 4 people there when we went.

We loved every minute of our eco tour yesterday to Mayfield Falls & Mineral Springs in the Dolphin Mountains outside Negril. Highlights were the "washing machine" jacuzzi falls, an out of body experience floating in the mineral springs, and learning about all the flora and fauna from our guide Dwight who was also our personal photographer and hand holder keeping me steady while traversing through the falls. 10/10 experience!
