Maras and Moray Biking Tour from Cusco

Description
These areas are located in the sacred valley and the best way to reach them is by mountain bike which take you off the beaten track. Maras is an Andean village characterized by its salt mines, that date back to Pre-Inca times, and its great views of snow capes. About 7km away the amazing circular terraces of Moray are located, an Inca agricultural research station designed for experimenting with crops at different altitudes.

This was an amazing experience and I’m so glad we booked it! Pick up at our hotel, boxed lunch and snacks provided, drop off at hotel. Our guides, Daniel and Jon were so knowledgeable and fun. The bike riding was strenuous but not impossible. The views are out of this world and it was such a nice way to connect with nature. Would highly recommend!
Daniel was a wonderful guide. We enjoyed the ride and the sites—he was very knowledgeable about the sites along the way from Cusco to Chinchero to the Sacred Valley. We truly appreciated that he suggested we take the single track MTB route in Maras to Salineras. So much fun! Our only negative comment would be in the initial communication. We were not able to make it to the briefing the evening prior to the bike trip and had communicated that to the company very early in our booking. We were given no information about what time our morning pick up would happen—We were told by email that our guide would call us in at 7pm the evening prior. No calls—no email—no WhatsApp text! Without any calls and a sleepless night of wondering we thought we would have to abandon. We finally got a message at 8am. From that point we were excited and ready and it worked out in the end.
This trip was awesome. Our guide Daniel was excellent - including his quick repair work when i got not one but two flat tires on my bike. This trip offers phenomenal views and excellent biking. Experience with mountain bikes is critical for challenging sections - that being said I'm sure Daniel will modify routes based on skill level. There is no vehicle traffic its all rural roads and trails. I was still acclimating to the elevation for this trip - it is at a very high elevation, so I'd recommend time to acclimate before taking the tour. That being said Daniel knew when breaks were needed to breath and rest ( I walked my bike up a couple of steep sections), be prepared to see rural life and animals is a part of Peru most visitors do not get to see (Wow - Great!!). Lunch is old town square is also cool.
CONDE TRAVEL team; we feel very grateful for your preference with us in your adventure MARAS MORAY BIKING and especially your recommendations. Our guides are highly recommended and above all very professional, making your experience an unforgettable adventure.

This was one our highlights with our visit to Cusco . Our ride leader worked very hard looking after us . He was very informative. The ride was challenging enough.

We had a fantastic day on this tour. Our guide was awesome as were the other 3 guys we were biking with. The ride itself was a mix of gentle uphill, progressing to walking our bikes up to the top. From the top the thrills began as we descended into the town of Maras to our first stop for a nice boxed lunch. After lunch we continued onward to Las Salinas, which was amazing. Most of the downhill was quite manageable, only having to dismount in a few steep, technical sections. Overall our entire group had a blast. Truly one of our highlights while in Cusco. I would recommend this tour to anyone with previous mountain bike experience. Some downhill, technical ability would definitely be an asset.

Travelling through the countryside on a bikeways quite enjoyable. Seeing moray and then Maras Saltmines. It just mixes up the way you the local sites instead of sitting on a bus. Guide was full of information. Only downside would be the bikes needed an upgrade.
