Manavgat River Cruise & Waterfall & Bazaar Visit

No tour guide, trip should have been cancelled. We were taken to the boat in extremely cold & windy conditions, hunkered down in a dark room in the lower deck to stay warm., even though we had jumpers & coats on. The boat was completely open to the elements. On returning to the main deck to buy a hot drink, we were faced with a sandstorm blowing into the boat & our faces. There was an elderly woman crying her eyes out! The boat ride was not scenic & the boat struggled on return, sailing into an icy, headstrong wind. Did we stay for lunch? God no, a mass exodus to get on the coaches to try & get warm. The next stop was meant to be the waterfalls which was abandoned. A big Turkish bazaar was next on the list but was apparently closed & without telling us they dropped us off at a big, indoor tacky store & was told we had 2 hours there! Not one of us stayed more then 15 minutes, it was so bad, so the coach driver decided to drop us off on a main road in a town, not sure where due to limited English & pointed down the hill & told us there was a Bazaar, somewhere down there! My daughter & I were so dismayed at the disappointment & chaos, we paid for a taxi ride back to the hotel. I contacted Prestige Tours on return to tell them of our horrendous day & request a refund for ruining the last day of our holiday. Their reply was, "If u had the boat trip, there would be no refund' "Sorry Dear, have a nice day". I have no words........

I went with my 3 children and we loved the trip , we got picked up at our hotel , first stop was the gorgeous ship ,2nd stop cleopatra beach ,we had a lovely lunch provided , (delicious ),we were then taken back to go on coaches and taken to the Beautiful Island waterfall and then on coach again and taken to the Bazaar, trip was good value and staff were sooo friendly, also got dropped at hotel at end of trip ,Would highly recommend to anyone travelling

The view was excellent. The meeting of the river and the sea was an incredible experience. The staff was very friendly. In general, there was a great atmosphere and we also had time to swim. Great value for money!

The boat cruise was really good, then lunch at Mediterranean sea.but they charged a lot for the Manavgat waterfalls ticket. It is only 6lira at the gate but they ask you to buy on the cruise and charge you 20lira. They obviously take you to the destination by bus but yet i felt the price is too much, they could have charged 10 lira instead of 6lira.

We booked via our rep and went to the Waterfalls first. If you like to be ripped off, this is the place to be! The Parrot man said it was six euros for a photo. What he doesn't tell you is that he prints off several photos, having taken lots. One family ended up paying 54 euros for nine photos... when they only wanted two. If you are going to have parrot photos taken (using parrots with clipped wings), then make sure you say in advance how many you want to buy, otherwise you could end up spending a lot more than you bargained for. The area looks pretty dingy. The waterfall is nothing special at all. It's not in a nice setting (stalls and concrete) either and no where to walk, no river bank. Nothing. The bazaar is like any other market, all selling the same stuff you can get all over Turkey.. You could get there by taxi for a lot less than the price of this trip. This is definitely not good value for money.

Not recommended, river trip was garbage dump trip....the short trip out to sea was nice, lunch on board ok, but the rest an imposition...why you pay 3.50 € for the so-called waterfall is a mystery to us....Touris are properly asked to pay...no recommendation for this trip, save yourself the day for something better

Not recommended, boat trip nice but too short. Bazaar visit can be saved, expensive, warm and sellers more than intrusive.

So sad that the previous reviewer found this trip so awful. Our day trip was ‘polar opposite’ Ok, so we had the photos with the parrot but a polite no and the man and his parrot were gone! We traveled as a family of 4adults and two 16yr old lads. From the time that we boarded the boat, it was good. Foam disco! good fun. Crew dancing, edging on silly, but so what, we are on holiday! The trip down the river was a welcome change to just cruising round the coastline. Finally entering into the sea, and leisure time on the beach, the lads did jet skiing at a very reasonable price. Lunch on board, very good and plentiful, drink prices a bit expensive, but you are a captive audience! Waterfalls, brilliant. Stop off at the market also brilliant, plenty of shopping time. Would really recommend this trip, you can either pack a lot in, or do nothing, it’s your day out!!

We really wanted to experience something more than just lying on the beach or by the pool. So we decided to do this tour. What seems favorable at first turned out to be an absolute washout in the end. The hotel pickup was easy by hand. Once on board the ship, the first problem, which unfortunately occurs here in this region again and again. You get chatted up buying. Two men who had a parrot with them wanted to take pictures and sell them at the end of course for a loose 4 euros. No was only accepted after repeated and later very serious rejection. The drinks on board that we had been touted for small money had it very much. 4 euros for a bottled beer. A bottle of white wine that had already promised little from the outside should then cost 23 euros. Ridiculous. When we were supposed to take the bath break on an absolutely rotten and unattractive beach, the mood was real in the basement with some guests. Again the same picture. Ride water skiing you ride with the camel etc. It wasn't really relaxed. The other swim break was then held at Side Bay. That was okay. No beach no annoying sellers. On the way back we stopped at the gammel beach to siphon off money from the tourists again. The toilets were then the crowning glory of it all. The water spilled on the ground and it was certainly not the Mediterranean that was responsible for this circumstance. Really gross. The only thing that was really okay was lunch. Pasta salad and chicken. But there's not much you can do wrong. We were just happy at the end when it was over. Because the fun goes 6 hours of which you are at least 5 on the ship. With loud prollo music. We wouldn't even do it again as a gift.
