Comfortable seats and great service to have. My friend uses a wheelchair and this boat from Buggiba/St Paul's Bay where we were staying to Sliema/St Julian's area and to Gozo was really accessible for him and more spacious than the buses. Highly reccommend for anyone who wishes to travel between Gozo, Buggiba/St Paul's Bay and St Julian's/Sliema.

Fast ferry from Valletta to Gozo, ticket 7 euros
We took the high-speed ferry from the harbours in Floriana, Valletta, and sailed to Gozo. The ferry ride is 45 minutes. It costs 7.5 euros for an adult, who gets a discount for pensioners pay 3 euros each way. From the harbors of Gozo we took a local bus to their largest city. The ferry runs once an hour, and we timed it nicely for the trip home too. Good staff, polite service. Can be recommended.

Worst experience ever!!!
Worst experience ever! If I could I would give u the absolute zero, but since I can’t I’ll give u one star! The crew was nowhere to be found, I tried to find the bathroom to throw up but no one was there. The sea was so aggressive that many passengers were sick to there stomach. But they of course didn’t cancel the ride due to the weather, money always comes first to people! I don’t recommend it to anyone cuz it’s so bad, and has to be closed immediately!! Worst experience ever! Don’t give ur money to such people! Shame on u

Rudeness, lack of respect, and no empathy for people with issues.
Terrible! Absolutely rude! They did not wait for us to disembark from the ticket office to the ferry. My mother has mobility issues, and the girl who was there said that we did not disembark in time, asking with a "where were you?" No empathy for people who have difficulties. The ferry was still stopped and they made us wait another hour before letting us board! Crazy stuff! Never again in Malta! It is not an island for people with difficulties. Moreover, the ferry staff is rude like I have never seen before! You cannot give less than one star, otherwise they would have deserved less than a thousand! An absurd mess!!! Rude!!!!

Quick and inexpensive way to travel between the islands.
Excellent. Easy booking, easy boarding though the ramps can be a little steep. Seating is comfortable and trip is very quick. Lots of crossing times per day.

Very quick and scenic
I was very impressed by this high-speed service between Valletta and Gozo. For those who might be going to or from the Malta airport, the TD4 bus service between Valletta and the airport stops nearby.
Tickets were very easily bought at the kiosks and we were please to get the Senior fare (3 Euros each one way).
We arrived 30 minutes before departure to Gozo and already the queue was about 20-30 deep. Boarding started about 15-20 minutes before departure and it was a fairly full trip (we were on the 0945). Several people had suitcases and there was an area to store those.
Views were lovely and the voyage was not at all choppy. I noticed nobody feeling unwell.
The return was just as good. We had not bought our return ticket in advance because we did not know how long we would stay in Gozo, but we managed to get tickets for the departure 30 minutes away.
A lovely sea voyage that helped towards a superb day.

Perfect quick ride to Gozo
This fabulous service from Malta to Gozo is incredibly quick, smooth, the seating is comfortable & it's worth every penny to get to Gozo so quickly. The timetable is great, with a boat every 45 minutes past the hour, so one every hour to and from Valletta to Gozo. Absolutely perfect!

Pricey
Ferry is fast, but pricey not for the faint of heart. Sit towards the rear if you don't have sea legs. Don't buy the hop on hop off ticket. It really isn't good value, pricey and the local buses are cheaper. Two adults including hop on hop off was 60 euros. too much for what it was.

Quick Journey but Need Sea Legs
A quick way to travel from Gozo directly into Valetta.
We wondered why most passengers were sitting in the back, and wish we'd read the info before rather than after our trip. Middle, back is the best place for minimum discomfort it says.
The ferry travels really fast - well it is called Highspeed. It was one of the longest 45 minutes of my life. We sat in the front, to the left. Talk about bumpy, I felt so sick. I spent the entire journey clutching a sick bag and mopping my brow, tho my husband was not affected.
It docks in Valetta harbour, and is perfect for getting out and about in the city. There were alterations going on at the time, and no toilets that we could find at the quay.
We came home by bus & car ferry, which took two & a half hours, but a much calmer experience.
Operator response
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We’re glad to hear you appreciated the convenience of travelling directly from Gozo to Valletta, and that the service helped you get right into the heart of the city.
We’re very sorry to hear that the journey was uncomfortable for you. The Highspeed ferry can indeed feel bumpy when seas are rough, and we appreciate you highlighting that the middle and back seats provide a smoother ride — this is useful advice for fellow travellers.
Thank you again for your review and for giving our service a try. We hope you’ll consider travelling with us again in calmer conditions for a more enjoyable experience next time.

Reserve if you absolutely need a particular time
No problem with the ride itself, but not very comfortable to redeem the voucher - cashiers stared for a long time at our online reservation and didn’t look very happy. Perhaps at high season it would make sense to reserve in advance, but for our trip didn’t seem necessary.
