Byzantine Church of the Assumption of Virgin Mary
Visit the oldest monument of the area situated in the old city of Kalabaka. In the walls of this church for hundreds of years, marbles of an ancient temple were hidden. The marbles belonged to the temple of God Apollo. Nowadays that the plaster which covered them is removed you will be able to see God’s face represented as the Sun.

Meteora Thrones
We booked the sunset tour with a minivan for a maximum of 20 people and VIP service. When the bus came to pick us up, it turned out to be a large bus and there were about forty people on it. The disadvantage of that is that maneuvering in the streets of Meteora is a real art. All stops with so many participants take up a lot of time to get on and off. Some stops had to happen quickly because traffic also had to pass. We were not informed in advance that our tour had changed and no option was offered to cancel. Too bad. Especially because the tour was interesting. We never received a reply to the review that we sent to the company itself. Therefore, I would not recommend this company.

Worth every penny!
The guide had a great sense of humor and was extremely knowledgeable. The driver did an amazing job in very tight spaces. I thought the tour was perfect! I also did not remember where to meet my tour and they picked us up and dropped us off at the hotel--above and beyond !! Great service!!

Mystical and magical place.
Beautiful views of the monasteries. Great experience meeting the nuns in the little shop. Very friendly. Tour guide was extremely informative. Sunset was magical. Seeing all of the monasteries was very mystical and so far the best place I’ve been in Greece.

Excellent tour
We enjoyed our tour: Yannis is an excellent guide, friendly and available: he was able to recount the history of the monasteries and Byzantine church... with humor and professionalism. As for the sunset, it was less spectacular than hoped; we preferred the view of the monasteries illuminated by the setting sun, which were truly impressive!

Experience and understand a World Heritage site.
Everything was perfect: the bus driver, the tour guide, the sunset, and the many pieces of information about the monasteries and their history. We saw a lot and heard a great deal about Meteora. There was also a bottle of water for everyone along the way. We can only recommend this tour; without the stress of parking search and with plenty of fun and joy, we were also told the history of the monasteries.
