This review refers to the first day of our 2 Day Combo Tour. Marcelo was the guide of our group of a dozen of persons. From the very beginning, he made us feel comfortable and prepared us with helpful information about the sites Pisaq and Ollantaytambo we were going to visit. Then, during the visits, he explained everything very clearly and made proof not only of his knowledge by the good answers to our questions, but also of his good humor when he accompanied us to the excellent lunch restaurant. Very positive, too, the good mix between guided tour and self exploration of the sites, perfect timings and organization, likely to be attributed to Yapa Explorers in general. Thank you, we will always recommend you!
The tour guides Marcelo and Eduardo were top notch. Knew a lot and told everything with enthusiasm. Definitely recommended!
Our guide, Primo, was amazing. The hike up was challenging and he did a good job of managing our group which went at different speeds. His knowledge, sense of fun and energy was incredible. He brought so much to the trip beyond just logistic support (which was flawless from pick up, meals, hotel stay and the train and van back). His stories about the Inca’s, the Quechua’s, the Spanish and the discovery of Machu Picchu added so much to the experience. I highly recommend Yapa Explorers and Primo!
Our guide to Machu Picchu, Samuel was very knowledgeable, accommodating, went above and beyond and took lots of great pictures. He also pointed out most of very important spots relating to Inca history.
Booking with yapa explorers was super easy. The tour that we did was very good. Although it probably is a lot cheaper doing the sacred valley not as a combo tour, it takes away a lot of the stress because they really do sort out everything for you so you don't have to worry about transport anywhere. We had 2 guides, 1 for the sacred valley called Primo who was very knowledgeable. He also took us to a llama and alpaca farm on the way to the sacred valley. Our other guide Javier took us to Machu Picchu early for 7am to try and beat the crowds. He was very helpful and made an effort to help us get to our Machu Picchu Mountain trek. We had a guy pick us up from aguas calientes train station and take us to the ticket office because, although we booked circuit 1A with yapa, we wanted to also do 2A separately (the popular one) and they helped us to book that. We changed our plans last minute because we initially wanted to spend an extra night there in case we couldn’t get a 2A ticket for the same day, but we managed to do it so they helped us change our return train last minute. Very helpful and responsive which I believe other companies may not be
We had numerous conversations before booking. They were friendly and professional all the way through the process. It was organised very well from start yo finish. Day 1 Sacred Valley. Our guide Edger was friendly , professional, very knowledgable and answered all of our questions. Kept us informed all of the way. Day 2 Macchi Picchu Our guide Samuel again was friendly professional and knowledgable. Answered all our questions. Both days were very special. Written communication from Yapa was clear and in good time. I would recommend Yapa to anyone. A couple of minor improvements could be made, but enough to affect my rating.
We were unwell the first morning of the tour and yapa was very helpful in getting us connected with the group so we could see picchu despite having missed the sacred valley portion. Our guide Javier at Picchu was also exceptional.
Very well organised tour, nothing felt rushed, plenty of time, good guides. A fantastic easy way to see some amazing things. I would highly recommend this company for your tour.
My trip ran perfectly from start to finish. We left early to miss the crowds and were assisted at the very busy transport hubs to get up to Machu Picchu. The morning weather was stunning and views breathtaking. Our guide Sam explained the process in detail, took fabulous photos for us, and gave us interesting history talks. He is an excellent guide! The lunch at Ollantaytambo was also one of the best meals I've had in Peru.
We are have a great moment with the tour and recommend for this tour operator.
