Depart from Cusco in the morning, with pickup from your hotel and a transfer from the city center to your train station. Your departure location and travel experience depend on the seating option you’ve selected. Guests can choose from the Expedition train. Then enjoy a scenic train ride, offering stunning views of the mountainous terrain that makes up the area near Machu Picchu. Arrive in Aguas Calientes, the small village located at the base of this famous Inca site, and board a bus for a short ride to this sacred citadel. Get into the world of the Inca on a fully guided day trip to mystical Machu Picchu. Aguas Calientes, also known as Machu Picchu Pueblo, is the town located at the base of the famous Machu Picchu archaeological site in Peru. It serves as the main gateway for tourists visiting the ancient Incan citadel. The town itself is nestled in a lush valley surrounded by stunning cloud forests and towering mountains. It's primarily a tourist hub, bustling with visitors exploring Machu Picchu or preparing to journey up to the archaeological site. Aguas Calientes offers a range of amenities catering to travelers, including various accommodation options, restaurants serving both local and international cuisine, markets with artisanal crafts, and souvenir shops. The hot springs after which the town is named ("Aguas Calientes" translates to "hot waters") provide a relaxing retreat for some travelers looking to unwind after trekking or exploring the ruins.

We came from Puerto Rico 🇵🇷 and since we arrived we were warmly welcomed and never stopped communicating. Aludí is a very responsible and knowledgeable local agency. It has a staff specialized in tourism and knowledgeable of the Inca culture, they will explain in detail the chosen places to visit. The hotels, restaurants were spectacular and above all, we always felt very safe. The trip only lasted 8 days but with a comprehensive agenda. We went on Aludi’s Machu Piccu tour and added tours with them for Cusco Ruins, Sacred Valley, Rainbow Mountain and Huamantay Lake. We had 5 tour days total. We received specialized attention from the guides especially at Machu Piccu. The guides were well informed and excellent. The tour price for the week was very affordable. Everything was included. On a couple of the longer hikes we purchased horseback sections. The views were outstanding. Early starts on some tour dates to get from Cusco to sites. Trips needed to leave early so we could get to locations outside of Cusco, safely complete drive and tour and return before sunset. I highly recommend Aludi. They can tailor tours to your interests.
