Luxury Evening Dining Experience at Chateau de Vaux-le-Vicomte

I visited the Chateaux for an audio tour & dinner followed by the fireworks display on a Saturday evening as part of a group. Whilst the audio tour of the Chateaux fine the meal was very poor. I was served chicken which actually consisted of a browned wing, a carrot and a fried block of rice which was awful. The wine I was served was dreadful too as was the chocolate desert. On a positive note the fireworks display was very good however, the same can't be said about the service at the Chateaux. I asked for 2 glasses of champagne at the bar in the gardens & was told by a rude staff member it would be the full bottle with an extra 3 euros charged to ensure I returned the empty bottle or nothing! Needless to say I opted for 2 cans of coke instead.

A birthday dinner for friends with the pleasure of combining history and gastronomy. I sincerely and wholeheartedly recommend experiencing this sensory experience at least once in your life. You will return enchanted and dazzled by this day. Christian Chalençon

They closed the golf cart part, very unorganized, terrible activity, I would NOT recommend this activity to anyone.

At the ticket office, the welcome and attitude of the team leader is unpleasant and unacceptable.

The candlelit visit followed by the magnificent fireworks delighted us as it always does. The value for money in this beautiful setting is perfect. This time we took the picnic from the castle. Nothing to say about the quality of the meal, made up of fresh and excellent products. However, for 4 people, the meal is placed in a single basket which is very heavy, not necessarily very practical for getting to the picnic area. 2 smaller baskets would be more convenient. Another point, the picnic area has no tables or benches, which should be improved for the comfort of those who have difficulty sitting on the ground. Despite everything, the picnic area is wonderfully located and the moment is unforgettable. Despite these small drawbacks, the evening remains magnificent and magical.

My husband and i are frequent visitors to France...we booked this dinner with a wine supplement...it stated out fine but then after 1 glass of wine and and appetizer....we never saw our waiter again....it was getting later and later and we hadn't seen the chateau yet...so we just got up and left...it was over 300.00 for a dinner we never had...terrible experience....don't do it!

We had our tickets for 31.03.2026, only a few days after the reopening of the 2026 season. We were particularly shocked by the lack of politeness of the staff. In several places (return of the headsets, return of rental of the cart in the park (200 € deposit!), at the restaurant,) say hello, thank you, how went the visit in the park, it is not too much asked. Unacceptable. Another negative point is that PMR access is completely non-existent. The excuse not to distort the site is not credible. Other much more prestigious castles find solutions. Apparently that's not possible in Vaux-le-Vicomte. Same for the rates, the effort is minimal. Profitability above all. Disappointment also of the state of the façade which is blackish and quite different from the other view, park side, which we are always presented in photos and always sunny! In short, a visit if you are in the area but you do not want to come back.

How did a commonplace Saturday turn into a royal Saturday, worthy of a fairy tale? The sun was shining, but it was mostly Gwendoline, Aline and Elsa who lit up our day. Their professionalism, human warmth and kindness have turned this stay into a suspended moment. They were like Flora, Pâquerette and Pimprenelle with Princess Aurora, who came to watch discreetly but surely that every moment was magical. Result? My princess (my wife) radiated from the early afternoon until the last spark of a grandiose fireworks display, which we had never witnessed so closely. A memory engraved forever. If I could give these three fairies fifteen stars, I would do so without hesitation. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, ladies, for this happiness offered. My wife thanks you so much... and I thank you so much.

Very nice timeless moment for July 14 with a magnificent fireworks display at the end to close this beautiful evening. Small negative: we were not able to use a small golfette because lack of battery ... the organization remains to be reviewed to satisfy customers.

Superb castle and garden Richly decorated and well maintained garden The evening of July 13. Candlelight tour and fireworks from 10 minutes to 11pm. Dance party in the gardens. A visit out of time.
