Our second tour with our amazing team, George and Mamdouh this time travelling all the way to Aswan. It was a long journey, but they made it absolutely smooth, comfortable, and memorable for us. On the way, we stopped to visit two incredible historical sites: Edfu Temple and the Temple of Kom Ombo. George’s detailed knowledge as an Egyptologist shone through once again. At Edfu, he brought the stories of the falcon god Horus to life with amazing facts. When we reached Kom Ombo, which stands beautifully right next to the Nile River, he beautifully explained its unique double-temple design dedicated to both the crocodile and falcon gods. Right there, George truly made us go back in time by giving us a small live show of how the high priest used to function. He demonstrated how a priest would stand in a specific place and talk, and due to the unique acoustic nature of that spot, his voice would echo in a way that made the ancient people believe God Himself was speaking. It was absolutely brilliant to witness. George is truly so passionate about Egyptian tourism, and his storytelling keeps you hooked the entire time. Once again, from the moment we started, he greeted us with his trademark, warm "Hello Family," making us feel just like close relatives throughout the long road trip. Our driver Mamdouh’s driving was also superb. Driving between these cities requires a lot of patience, and he drove so carefully and safely, ensuring we could just relax in the car. His courteous nature and tiny, thoughtful gestures like keeping the car perfectly cool and checking on our comfort really show the high level of hospitality. We are so glad we did both days with George and Mamdouh. High recommendations from our side.

Great experience visiting Edfu and Kom Ombo with our tour guide George
We did a tour of Edfu and Kom Ombo with pickup in Aswan and dropoff in Luxor with our tour guide George. Both temples were fantastic and well worth the trip and we're glad we made the visit on our way to Luxor. George was friendly and informative and very willing to answer all of our follow up questions. He gave us all the info we needed to better understand and appreciate the sights at each temple. Each temple had very unique aspects that we would not have fully appreciated otherwise. Highly recommend this tour and George as our guide!

Very good day !
The day was great! When you arrive, they provide you with a bottle of water. The guide in Edfu was great, a very kind woman who explained everything and answered every question we had. The guide in Kom ombo was very kind and funny too ! The driver picked us up at the hotel a 7.30am. It is about 2.30h drive to edfu, then 1.30h between edfu and kom ombo, and then 1h to aswan. We arrived at the hotel at around about 3pm. Keep in mind that if your hotel is on the west bank, it might be a little tricky for the driver to get there, they will suggest to leave you at the ferry terminal (for a 10egp cost, do NOT pay more than 10egp at the ferry counter). However our driver was kind enough to make the detour and leave us directly at our hotel !! Thanks alot ! We had a great time !
