Itinerary
After breakfast, your guide will pick you up from your hotel in an air-conditioned vehicle to begin your unforgettable tour of Luxor's two fantastic museums.
Start your day visiting Luxor Museum. This wonderful museum has a well-chosen and brilliantly displayed and explained collection of antiquities dating from the end of the Old Kingdom right through to the Mamluk period, mostly gathered from the Theban temples and necropolis. The ticket price puts off many, but don't let that stop you: this is one of the most rewarding sights in Luxor and one of the best museums in Egypt.
Next step continue to visit Mummification Museum. Housed in the former visitors centre on Luxor’s corniche, the Mummification Museum has well-presented exhibits explaining the art of mummification. The museum is small and some may find the entrance fee overpriced. Also, although it should be open throughout the day, a lack of visitors means that it sometimes closes for several hours after midday. finally, you will get back to your hotel .

We did this excellent tour during one day in Luxor. I highly recommend it. It requires 1/2 day; we saw two great museums; and our guide Ayman was incredibly knowledgeable and flexible. He suggested a rooftop lunch restaurant that was incredible and he helped our bazaar experience as well. Go do this tour and see Ayman!
I had a few hours to kill before leaving Luxor and these two museums were a nice way to spend a couple of hours. The museum are small but both very interesting, both have good signs inside explaining things so you don’t necessarily need a guide but I learned a lot more having Ahmed form Tour Egypt Club with me. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. If you are interested they would also take you to the bazaar, I had already done my shopping so I didn’t but others might be interested in adding this opportunity.
