Guided tour of the Westminster Abbeywill begin with pickup directly from your accommodation in London. Together with your Private Guide, you will ride on the London Underground train to get to the heart of Westminster. It’ll be a great opportunity to learn about one of the world’s oldest and most complex metro systems. Upon arrival, you will head straight for the entrance to Westminster Abbey, skipping the queues. Westminster Abbey will amaze you with its Gothic architecture, grand nave and beautiful chapels with rare treasures, such as the historic King Edward’s Chair, which has been used at every coronation of English and British sovereigns since 1302. You will hear fascinating stories about royal weddings, baptisms and funerals that took place at the Abbey.
You will also see the Poet’s Corner and about the great national figures who were buried here, including Isaac Newton, Charles Darwin and Stephen Hawking. After exploring the Abbey inside and out, you will venture out into the City of Westminster to discover its other highlights, such as the iconic Big Ben and the Palace of Westminster, the seat of the British Government.
