Local Women Lead Nepali Cooking Class

The teacher is a lovely person who is fluent in Japanese and English. They give me a lot of praise and cheer me up. During the lesson, he explained Nepalese food culture in an easy way. It was one of the most wonderful experiences I had while in Kathmandu. It's a little hard to tell where the classroom is, but you don't have to worry because they explain in detail beforehand.

I got this cooking class for my birthday as a surprise and it absolutely made my birthday! The women who ran the class were so fun and informative and they even surprised me with a birthday cake. My boyfriend and I can’t recommend this class enough. Thank you❤️

What an amazing experience! The rooftop cooking school had a beautiful view and it was so nice being guided through all the steps by my instructor. She was so patient, kind, and very supportive of me! I made the thukpa (noodle soup), vegetarian momos and chocolate momos for dessert. Everything was at my own pace and the food was delicious! I learned 4 different momo folds and even how to make masala chiya too. The best part is all the recipes were sent to me after class so ill be able to make them again and again! Would 100% recommend this class.

FABULOUS experience - we cooked Thukpa, vegetarian Momos and Chocolate Momos. We got to choose from multiple options to cook, which was pre-arranged prior to arrival. The ladies are absolutely amazing cooks and great teachers. My mum was terrible at forming the momo shape, but they had such patience when teaching her. The food cooked is fresh and delicious. Cannot wait to receive the recipes online to cook when i return home!

I had an absolutely amazing experience at Namaste Cooking School! Since I had already done a Momo cooking course before, I wanted to do something else, but we were two people and the other person did want to make Momos - we promptly made two different main courses in parallel to accomodate everybody, and it was all so well organized! The food was absolutely delicious, everything was explained in great detail, the location is very clean and neat. I can whole heartedly recommend this location to everybody :)

My wife and I had an amazing time. The ladies are amazing chefs and very patient!! (Folding momos is harder than it looks ha). We choose to make menu set 1 and every single dish had fresh ingredients and tasted delicious!!! Time flew by and we left with very full stomachs.

The cooking school experience I had with chefs Sabita and Sushila far out weighed my expectations. These ladies helped me prepare the 3 meals in menu 2, which included how to prepare the vegetables for the momo's and the dipping sauce. They both have great skills and a fantastic personality, they make you feel part of their family. They have incredible skills at passing on their teaching skills to people who have never cooked Nepalese food before. I highly recommend Namaste Cooking School has a must to learn Nepalese cooking, it was the highlight of my visit to Kathmandu. Louis Dalby - Australia

Fantastic activity. Perfect location. The girls leading the classes do a fantastic job. Communication is very easy and effortless, they are engaged and very kind. We really enjoyed our time with you. We recommend it to everyone.

We were a group of 5 that had a wonderful afternoon learning to cook. The beautiful rooftop kitchen area was clean and could easily handle twice our group size. We made everything from scratch with the freshest of ingredients. The instructors were delightful, sometimes singing and dancing as we cooked. We would go back to try and make one of their other preselected meals. Highly recommended.

The ladies at the Namaste Cooking School were amazing. They usually have groups but did a great job with me being solo. Clean, tasty and friendly. I hope to return with friends and family and suggest it for anyone wanted to experience the food and smiles of Nepal.
