Favela da Rocinha
Participate in an experience in the country's largest favela. When we arrive, we will climb to the highest point of the mototaxi or van favela, enjoying one of the most spectacular views of Rio. The tourist will listen to reports from the local guides to understand the daily life of the community. Truly beautiful experience and absolutely recommended. Andrea, an Italian who has lived in Rio for almost 30 years, was extremely helpful right from the start in organizing the tour and proved to be extremely knowledgeable and prepared. Throughout the entire visit to Rocinha, we always felt completely safe: Andrea knows the reality of the favela very well and constantly gave us the feeling of having full control of the situation. The city within the city
I would define the Rocinha favela as fascinating. Something that in all my travels I had not yet seen. It is a leap into a parallel reality that shows a side of life that we Westerners know too little about. This was possible thanks to Andrea and our guide Gilva who, with his super Italian, was ready to recount and describe the details of this world with a very attentive and expert eye. With the motorcycles we arrived all the way up and then we walked down in 3 hours through alleys and life flowing by. In the end, back down, Gilva waited with us for an Uber and we said goodbye. Do it because the tour is full, complete, safe and you will carry in your pocket a new, unprecedented experience! Thank you thank you
