Giulia led such a fun gelato workshop! We learned how gelato is made and participated in the steps before trying our own batch. Super fun for the whole family including teen and tween kids. Highly recommend!
Small class, interactive, very personable class instructor, plenty of samples, walk through entire simple exact process
So much fun! This was such a great experience. We started by making Feor de Latte or the base to all gelato. Afterwards, she taught us how each gelato gets its flavor and the process of adding flavors. After making and eating our gelato, we also got to sample the different flavors found in the shop.
Giulia was incredibly kind and made it so fun for all of us! It was an amazing experience and I would recommend this to anyone coming to Rome!
Our host was excellent with the children and after learning about gelato, when choosing a gelato place after we didn't miss. Before we had some that were not great and learned that they were not real gelato. I highly recommend this experience!
Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We’re thrilled to hear that you and the children enjoyed the experience and learned so much about authentic gelato. It's great to know that our workshop helped you make better gelato choices afterward! We look forward to welcoming you back in the future for more sweet and educational fun. Your recommendation means the world to us!
Unfortunately, 45 minutes is far too little. The iceman talked very quickly and you could tell he was under time pressure. His goal was just to get rid of his knowledge and wasn't really interested in teaching us anything. We didn't eat our homemade ice cream in the end because there was no time. You could have acquired that little bit of knowledge via YouTube. In the end a rather disappointing experience and not worth the lot of money.
Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We are sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations. Our goal is to create an enjoyable and educational environment for all participants, and it seems we fell short during your visit. We truly appreciate your input and will address the timing and instructional aspects of the session to improve future experiences.
Fantastic! Giulie is a great host, very professional, we had a lot of fun and came back the next day to the shop just to buy gelato!
The shop owner arrived late and then told us he could only accommodate six people so we were turned away
Chef Joelle was absolutely fantastic! What an incredible experience. This was a cultural exposition to the art of gelato as well as a hands on and engaging process. Joelle was kind, patient, extremely knowledgeable and inspiring! Truly a dream come true. This experience exceeded our expectations by far. Absolutely a must!
This was a lovely thing to do. It is quite pricey for what it is but the kids enjoyed it. We didn’t get to to try too Much gelato. Three tastings plus a tasting of the one we made. But it was fun.
thank you for your lovely words :)
