Normandy Day - Normandy Tours
Description
Eighty years ago, soldiers crossed this same stretch of Normandy coastline under fire. Today, you arrive in comfort — picked up directly at Le Havre cruise terminal, returned before your ship sails.
This is a fully private tour. No shared bus, no strangers, no fixed pace. Just you, your group, and a driver who knows every road, every bunker, and exactly how long to linger.
You'll stand at the edge of Pointe du Hoc — where U.S. Rangers scaled 30-meter cliffs under machine gun fire. You'll walk Omaha Beach, wide and quiet now, and feel the weight of what happened here on June 6, 1944. You'll pause at the Normandy American Cemetery, where 9,387 white crosses look out over the sea.
Your return to ship is guaranteed. Your driver tracks your schedule so you never watch the clock.

Itinerary
Pointe du Hoc
60 min
On the morning of June 6, 1944, U.S. Army Rangers were
given what many considered a suicide mission: scale a
30-meter cliff face, under enemy fire, and destroy a
German gun battery threatening both Omaha and Utah Beach.
They made it.
Today, Pointe du Hoc remains almost exactly as the Rangers
left it. Shell craters scar the earth. Concrete bunkers
sit split open by Allied bombardment. Gun emplacements
still point toward the Channel. It is one of the most
preserved D-Day sites in Normandy — and one of the most
visceral.
Omaha Beach
120 min
Omaha was the bloodiest of the five D-Day landing beaches.
American forces from the 1st and 29th Infantry Divisions
faced heavily fortified German positions on the bluffs
above — and paid an enormous price.
Today the beach is wide, quiet, and edged by dunes.
Standing here, looking out to sea, it is almost impossible
to reconcile the stillness with what took place. That
contrast — between the peace of the place now and the
violence of that morning — is what makes Omaha unlike
anywhere else.
Your driver will give you time to walk, reflect, and take
in the scale of it.
Cimetiere Americain de Colleville-sur-Mer
60 min
Perched on the bluffs above Omaha Beach, the Normandy
American Cemetery holds 9,387 graves — soldiers, sailors,
and airmen who gave their lives in the liberation of
Western Europe.
The rows of white marble crosses and Stars of David stretch
across 70 acres of manicured lawn, facing west toward
America. The site includes a memorial chapel, a Wall of the
Missing bearing 1,557 names, and an interactive museum
telling the story of the Normandy Campaign.
Few places in the world carry this kind of weight.

Normandy D- Day Private Excursion
The guide and the driver were excellent. Matthias the driver was very good! Irene, our guide was professional and explained about the events leading up to D-day and what transpired in Normandy. The visit to the Caen Memorial museum, Omaha Beach, American cemetery and Pegasus Bridge were very important to view and get a feel for what happened here.

Normandy and much more…
Lise and Teddy were extremely accommodating throughout our entire day together. We were able to spend adequate time at each location. Lise clearly knew her facts, and provided more details whenever requested. We would highly recommend this excursion to any other interested parties.
One detail, which was not at all Lise’s fault… my sister is somewhat hard of hearing at struggled at times to hear the commentary while the car was in motion. She would have benefited from some form of amplification… possibly a microphone for Lise. Overall, this was still a very professional experience.
Operator response
Thank you so much for your kind review and for taking the time to share your experience with us.
Lise and Teddy were delighted to spend the day with you and your family, and they were truly touched by your compliments regarding the excursion, the pacing of the visits, and the commentary throughout the day.
A special thank you as well for mentioning the hearing difficulty in the vehicle while driving. We sincerely appreciate this valuable feedback and will certainly look into possible amplification solutions to make the experience even more comfortable for future guests.
We hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you again someday in Normandy!
